When I did amazon delivery I was one of the top drivers with 190-200 stops daily and high 300 packages… paid 18.25. It’s hard work and the pay was not worth it. Amazon drivers deserve more pay tbh.

I’m working at Amazon right now for the summer, will quit soon as august ends and my semester picks right back up. My experiences with it, they demand the very little things of you, there’s the Amazon labeled vans and those have cameras, there’s also white rental vans they use and those are nice cause no cameras. They want you to turn ya engine off at every stop but I’m one of the ones that don’t cause with this heat they got the wrong one. Typically the routes vary depending on the area, typically they range from 150-190 daily over by manahawk, if you do LBI it’s about 90-120 stops. I’m the type to rush it and finish super early cause I’m trynna go home, I don’t rescue nobody and that’s that. I would recommend it if you don’t want to be nagged and want to make a quick buck, I always have my headphones on and blast music and my day goes by fast.

I get 35/hr and OT. 10 hours a day average. The new contract jumped every driver to 41/hr, that will hit later this month. The issue with DSP, is that Amazon sets the rules, and the DSP has to abide by it or they get NO MONEY for their work. That is why the pay is ass! Not because they want to be shitty, but because the parameters set by Amazon is fucking garbage and they always tack on more garbage every few years till its nearly impossible to do. DSP have to resort to rotating door hiring (aka, constantly hire new people to replace the people who will quit within a month or less). Those hired during peak season, are quickly culled when it comes down to quality during the off season. Amazon firmly believes they can just keep hiring regardless of how they treat their employees.

It don’t matter if you work your ass off for them, when it time to make room for new worker, older workers are out. 18$/h 170-190 stops upward 300 packages with 30+ oversize packages leaving almost no room to organize and move around inside of the van.
