Just here to observe that "I don't want to be the voice of reason/ in your head while you're trying to sleep in" is an extremely effective bit of poetry. It's an entire scene packed in a single sentence.
You should check out bands like Beck, or Radiohead, or The Cure. You get all four seasons in one song with a band like that :)
