Hey guys! This week we're doing another great "boy balloon" that's very quick and simple. I was just asked to do a snake on Tuesday, but I didnt have one. So, of course, I had to see what you had. i LOVE him!

I never knew you could curl a balloon like that. I have not learned how blow the balloon to curl so I will be using this technique. Thanks for sharing
You've got to kidding me lol. I usually do the mouth inflation curl but I was reading Balloon Magic #73 page 5 today and I learned the spiral technique and thought it was genius. I made 6 of them and the next thing I did was flip on CZcams to watch your new vid and bam there it is lol. I'm checking my house for candid cameras. Oh yes, nice video :)

Thanks Holly. As a person with asthma, that technique will be a lot easier on me. I tried it and as has been suggested, I just use a red 160 and then I use the part sticking out as the tongue, Great simple video! Cheers

Very smart to share that trick everyone. It's a great technique.
I really like this balloon snake and I found a little trick I'd like to share. For the 160 inserted into the 260 use a red one and the tongue is built in and cannot be pulled out.

I love the idea of the 160 in the 260 to make a swirl. I was so excited when I got my Filbert pump to be able to use only one hand & could make swirls but this is so much better! Thank you! I was thinking that instead of cutting off the long nozzle, maybe use that as the tongue??? Thanks for sharing!

WOW! FANTASTIC!!! have never seen that way to make a spiral before. I LOVE IT!! i cant mouth inflate ether. don't know if I ever will not got big lungs. keep the tips coming :):):) nice snake!! :)

Awesome trick Holly! I built a pole with a clamp to do my curly balloons but that is super cool! Never seen it, you rock :)

Great job Holly, I put salt in the tails of my rattlers. Rice takes too long to put in the balloons so I use a clear plastic squeeze tube (like the catchup and mustard types) and clip the end off the tip off (enough to make the salt flow easier) and just insert the tip in the balloon and squeeze a bit and you are ready to go. I put some uncooked rice in the tube to keep the salt from clumping. In order to keep it from spilling I use an electrical wire nut on the tip since the tip is wider than the press on cap . When the kids ask "what' s that for?" when I put the tip in the nozzle of the balloon, they are dried rattle snake tails that I harvest every year out west by jumping in to a snake pit. like Indiana Jones, and i wrestle them, throw them out of the pit to dry out in the sun so I can harvest them. As I make the snake I ask if they want the snake to be straight or coiled up. Either way they answer I say "Oh NO I think it's mad " as i share the snake making it rattle.
***** All good stuff. If kids in the past asked for a rattle, I would pinch off a small bubble like a "pregnant dog". I've never heard of rice or salt, but both sound like good ideas.
Instead of salt, I use candy sprinkles for cake decorating.
An Idea I use is Salt or grains of rice in the rattle before twisting it up 😍
been twisting balloons for 24 yrs and have never been able to do the twist as Ive always used a pump(had a friend develop polyps on his lungs from blowing balloons)

if you don't wont use a 160 ballon inside the other, you can use a piece of elastic thread ;) thanks for yours tutorial !!! :)
I have never seen the idea of a 160 inside to make a curl. I always have to use a small piece of tube and pump....very time consuming! The only thing I thought that might save you time on this design is using a red 160 inside so when you pull it out and make the mouth loops you can just have the red 160 stick through as the tongue!! Then no worries about it getting pulled out! What do you think?
Will also add rice now in the Extra part of the Rattler

I just inflate the balloon about 8 pumps make the head with the 2 loop twist. Wrap the rest around my arm and squeeze until I get the Spiral. I usually put sugar pack in also. I love the rattle part~ going to use it on my next Snake. I also use a Scrap 260 to make the eyes saves on 5in Rounds. As always Love the Tutorials. Hope ypu can See my balloons on my facebook page. You could use a red 160 for the inside balloon then you could use it for the tounge

back in the very early 70's but never got a patten for the product. today everyone is making these balloon pumps.
