Czech national team gave great impressions to Japanese people at Czech vs Japan game on March 11th in terms of sportsmanship.
Nobody in Japan had expected how good players you can be without professional league in the country.

As a Dominican 🇩🇴 lifelong baseball fan, seeing Czech 🇨🇿 in the WBC from winning the qualifiers is big for MLB and WBC. Both Republic countries in WBC and I love their character and enthusiasm for the game.
It's very nice to see and Czech 🇨🇿 will help grow the sport of baseball in Europe with WBC and their hosting of Eurobaseball23 in September in their country with 16 European countries participating.
🇨🇿 and England 🇬🇧 as new European countries alongside Italy 🇮🇹 and Netherlands 🇳🇱 will bring more European countries into the tournament. 🇩🇪 Germany, France 🇫🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸 are next in World Baseball Rankings outside of top 20 that are in WBC.
They should qualify in next qualifiers before next WBC. More European countries will get in main tournament and Belgium 🇧🇪 Austria 🇦🇹 right behind them in World 🌎 ⚾️ Rankings, too.
Spain 🇪🇸 played way too good to miss out on qualifying as they got 3rd place in qualifiers. Those 3 countries I mentioned will get in and Brazil 🇧🇷 too who almost qualified as well.
A lot of the teams that played in past two WBC qualifiers are finally getting into main tournament. Good got MLB and WBC as they expand in future tournaments..20 for this tournament and then 24,28,32. Eventually, WBC will be like the World Cup of Baseball with 32 teams.
Baseball is starting to grow in Europe thanks to Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and 🇬🇧 England in tournament. Good for MLB and future of sport in the continent long term.

The Czech Republic really set an example: Impressive qualifying, great performance at the WBC, all with homegrown talent. This is how you build a sustainable sports culture from scratch. European baseball will hopefully profit from this.

Good 😀 🇨🇿 Baseball-Team in WBC 2023! In 🇨🇭 Switzerland ist Baseball just small played and i hope that Switzerland also play in near future in World Baseball Classics
Cool. I'm Dominican 🇩🇴 and I recently saw the World Baseball Rankings. Switzerland 🇨🇭 is catching up in the Rankings. Czech Republic 🇨🇿 story will help grow baseball in Europe with their success in qualifying for the WBC. England 🇬🇧 too. Czech is also hosting the Eurobaseball23 tournament in September with 16 European countries to help grow the game in the continent.
Spain almost qualified this qualifiers and they'll definitely get in the next qualifiers before next WBC. 🇩🇪 Germany, France 🇫🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸 are next in World Baseball Rankings outside of top 20 teams in WBC. They all should get in next qualifiers and more European countries will start to catch up in qualifying for WBC. Belgium 🇧🇪 and Austria 🇦🇹 are next too in the World 🌎 baseball ⚾️ rankings as well.

I am from the Czech Republic, baseball is not popular in my country, but this WBC tournament can change that, I believe that one day Switzerland will be represented in the tournament.

They aren't just hockey players
Both teams are homegrown and while Czechia has played hockey longer than they have baseball, it's great to see them not only dominate one North American sport but also get to finally play the best teams in another.

@@smajla82 you're right. I guess Czechia is the "short" English language name, but it is officially still the Czech Republic? I guess that would be like in the US, saying United States rather than the full United States of America.
