Hormone season is real. Watch this video on what to do if your bird lays an egg czcams.com/video/8rWt8lNr9sY/video.html
My bird is screaming every time I leave his sight; if I go into another room or just if he isn't near me. He's like this anyway, but seems like he's crazy persistent more so this year. I've had him for 27 years so I just live with it. It gets to me for sure especially if I'm experiencing a stressful day. He doesn't understand at all the concept of possibly driving me nuts as his call is loud and very high pitched. But I have a bond with him too. He's been a consistent and loyal friend and hasn't a nasty bone in his body. I'm so lucky to have such a lovely spirit with me so long now.
Very interesting about birds Hormones my green cheek conure always rip news papers on bottom of cage floor same with my grandma's blue yellow macaw Jennifer thanks Donna for great video info🤗❤️
This is the best video I have seen on hormonal season. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I talked about hormones on the podcast this week too! Tis the season!
Nice! Perfect timing! I am hoping to check out your podcast soon.
Very useful 😊❤
Awwwww ❤How interesting...Never knew this...
Thx Donna great info vid
You are so welcome
Nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My conure is literally in attack mode. He used to be very loving. I have to separate him in a room so he doesn't attack me and my husband.
Have A Nice Day Donna, Will Watch Video Later Tonight 🍀💚🤍💛🧡”Happy Saint Patrick’s Day” On March 17th LOL🩵🩶
Happy St.Patricks Day!
Explains why my female cockatiel up has been nasty to me lately. Thank you.
Welcome!
Very good info. I think my budgies might be hormonal; they are molting; feathers all over the place and loud at times during the day. They don't like bathing and hate when I mist spray them. They are 10 and a half years old now; do you think they are too old to be hormonal?
Yes, they can still be hormonal. I find Budgies to always be hormonal unless they are sick no matter their age. Thanks for the super thanks 😊
Donna this was an informative video, thank you! Some I knew, some I didn't.
What is that bird @ 8:50 with the red and green?
Glad you enjoyed the video. He is a King Parrot.
@@Loveofpets you got another king parrot?
No just the one. The picture you saw is when he was changing colors when he was younger.
@@Loveofpets oh, that explains it.
Hi, I live in Australia and I can’t seem to find a electric bird bath that you have in your bird room, could you please let me know how I can get one, as the ones I got are battery and they are no good. I hope you can help me even if I have to write to the store you got it from. Thank you. ❤❤🐩
Hi, here is a link from my amazon store front amzn.to/49ZBJC4 you may be able to have it delivered to you.
our rosy bourke has been very noisy and territorial lately so this video is very reassuring to me. she also seems to be grooming herself more, is this normal?
It could be normal however they can get feather or follicle issues or mites so keep an eye on her especially if she starts plucking out feathers. Bring to your avian vet if its a problem
My canary does backflips... Mostly after I give him his fresh chop in the mornings... Is this normal?
I have never seen one do back flips before. Does he do it at other times?
@@Loveofpets yeh I've been trying to find info online or on CZcams of other canaries doing the same, seems rare... He usually does it more in the mornings. I'm hoping it's because he's happy n content n nothing bad. I've been letting him free fly daily n he automatically flies back into his cage when he's had enough.
It could be a neurological issue. Keep an eye on him and if its worsens that it's best to take him to your avian vet.
Horrormones = Screaming and Biting Season 😂
😂🤣😅
Ah, I have a 5mths old male Indian Ringneck. He is so nasty to everyone. He squawks and hisses, throwing his body forward. Is he hormonal, at this young age?
He may be going through the bluffing stage. Do a quick search on Ringnecks bluffing to see if that's what he is doing.
lol! Seems like the things they do are just things they naturally do in nature. I also hear birds don’t know it’s themselves in the mirror and believe it’s another bird and may want to mate with the bird in the mirror? Haha. :)
My cockatiel would walk to the closet and sit in a shoe.
😂
Thank you for the info. I have 2 female budgies in 1 cage and it is so cute ehen they feed each other and they take turns standing on each other's backs. They also will chew a cuttlebone very quickly. So far it is not a problem. You must have your hands full, lol🐦🦜
You are so welcome! I sure do, lol
