I agree with him in the sense that people will go broke over these celebrities that dont care that they are alive but wont help their families. However, he had no right to charge them to attend. When my sister got married, she did a raffle. They won a free honeymoon and could bring 2 couples with them. So she charged $5 per ticket and did the raffle at the reception. Some even gave more as a wedding gift.

I don't agree that you should have to pay to attend a wedding. BUT if you accept a wedding invitation and say they you will be attending but don't, then you should be charged for the plate that was accounted for your anticipated presence, unless an emergency prevented you from attending or you gave the courtesy of providing reasonable notice to the bride or groom prior to the wedding that you cannot attend.
His guests is going to have to pay to get there and buy a gift and get ready for it in general this was their choice to have this elaborate wedding so they this couple should downsize it and don't tell or scold people howtl they spend their money Supporting him and his bride on their dayy is ok but to pay to attend is a bit much.
