I was there in the mid sixties as a nine or ten year old and....Mr Walt Disney himself was there and I shook his hand!
Dude, without you and others like you doing this kind of stuff right now, i would be going nuts. THANK YOU.
RM1178 agreed 👍💯
Hey Justin, you really did some fine work with the commentary, editing and sound effects, it really made it great!
Yes A++... absolutely superb you're very talented
All of you Disney vloggers have been absolutely amazing through this whole thing. I was worried about what kind of content you were going to be able to get, but you all have been doing some amazing things and bringing so much happiness. Thank you 🙏❤
One of my goals in life is to collect as much home video from the 40’-60’s and restore it for future generations to use and enjoy. This is my favorite era in US history. It deserves all the respect that it receives.
I LOVED this. It almost felt like an old World of Color show from TV, just like how Walt would narrate clips of people at the park. Maybe it’s just me but something about this feels just like it would be on TV in the 50’s-60’s ❤️
Nothing like classic Disneyland to pull ya out of a quarantine slump. Thank you for this treasure Justine!
this was really good, its like an uncle telling us about a trip to Disney Land in the olden times.
My mother enjoyed this so much. She had been there back in those days. Thank you for this unexpectedly fun video!
4:07 Damn! that firetruck is hauling ass!! LOL
lol
Yeah, strange. Vehicles in the street, pedestrians keeping to the sidewalks. Can’t even fathom what that was like.
Nothing wrong with memories !
I remember seeing Walt walking briskly along the River.
Joined the cast in '68.
Justin, this is INCREDIBLE! Thank you for this video.
Thank you for this vlog!!!! So much sadness in the world. We need your memories!!! Help us escape!!!! More more more please!!!! Stay safe and healthy.🌞💗💓❤😚
That was the era when I was a kid and enjoyed Disneyland the most. My uncle John was the drummer in the Disneyland Band for 16 years. I went back about 15 years ago and the crowds were so intense that I can't imagine ever going again. The Disneyland of today can't compete with the Disneyland of my youth.
I remember when I was there in 1971 "I was 11yrs old then" and those hats with the feathers where from the time of Peter Pan. My brother got one. So many memories. Thank you so much Justin for sharing this entertaining video of history from the 1960's Disneyland. 💗😊
In the 60s I think they were related to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse which is why the feather is so long, but you're right they also sold them for the Peter Pan ride.
I loved this video. I just love comparing how Disneyland used to be vs. now
It's confusing and not as fun to go to Disneyland now because we went in the 60s and 70s. It wasn't as crowded, people were more polite, parents paid attention to their kids, and the rides were so new and futuristic. Some of the things they've taken out to make room for "new" stuff I miss a lot, especially since the new things are so non-Disney. Maybe I'm just old but I really miss Disneyland the way it was.
Could you imagine? I would love to be back in that time that and the 50's.
Just wanted to thank you Justin for this great memories, I am 60 now and I still have the Indian headdress that was sold back in 1966. What great memories...
its amazing how things have changed throughout the years. some of the stuff, i wish would return(i.e. the people mover) to experience it myself
this was amazing! we remember you asking people for old footage last year or longer, to see it all come together is fantastic! thank you to everyone who contributed their memories and for compiling this for us to see!
That will be very nice to time travel dude back in time and be happy and with no Corona virus people back then were alot happy and full of joy and with smiles on there face and enjoying DisneyLand Wish We Can Travel Back in time to 2010 of DisneyLand To 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩🤩🤩
Please do more of these! Its awesome pretending that we're time traveling!!
I wish I could go back and relive some of our trips to Disneyland. I loved the look of Tomorrowland in the 80s when we would go. People Mover, Rocket Jet on top of the People Mover platform, Autopia, Skyway, Circle Vision, America Sings. Those were some great times.
The year when the best attraction was in process of being made , The Haunted Mansion.
Or as Walt called it during its development, the House of Illusions. :)
OMG!! A blast from my past! Great job. The good old days never looked so good. Thank you.
my first visit was January 1969 so I remember all of this! and miss it terribly, although I still visit every couple of months. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
When the Treehouse was redone, Disneyland made a limited edition set of framed leaves from the original tree and put them up for sale. I was able to grab 6 of them and they make such a lovely display. It was, at the time, one of the cheapest ways to get an authentic Disneyland used piece.
God...the Disneyland glory days. Thank you!
Thank you Justin, you brought back my childhood. Everything is just the way i remember it when my brother and I were 6 & 5 when we first went. I'm 4 months older than DISNEYLAND and look forward to July 17th. Thank you once again from a OLD KID.
I grew up in the 1960s. I remember my first visit in 1969. I remember the buckets, the people mover, and being able to just walk up to the characters. I miss the old Disneyland.🏰🏰
😭 Is it okay to cry watching this?! Oh Disney when did you go so wrong?! Why?!
The two kids dancing at the end is classic and it fits great with the music thanks for the memories.
Yes! I remember when it looked this way. It's like watching my own home movies. This is fun! Thank you for the memories!
Oh my gosh I love this. brings back some really old memories after having been there in the 60's as a little girl...
Me too!!!
This was MY Disneyland. Nothing else in the world was like it. I loved the Indian dancing. Nice to remember it.
You've outdone yourself Justin. Your such a blessing to me these interesting times. Take care of yourself and family.
Yes, the Disneyland of my childhood, I could almost smell the popcorn. I was looking for family and friends in the background, just in case. I also loved the ride narration. If you ever go back in time to the 90s, feel free to use anything you can from my vids on youtube.
this was amazing and felt like therapy to watch the old school Disney this was amazing work thank you justin!!!
Wow that you for the grow back! I was a small child in 1972 and remember Disneyland just like this! Amazing! Thank you
Love this. Wish I had video when I was a kid with my parents I could show my kids.
Hey Justin!....it would be Fantastic to see Disneyland and the Disneyland hotel in the late 70’s!
Specially if you have something of 1979! 👍🏻
My first time in Disneyland and the Disneyland hotel❤️
I've been going to Disneyland since 1962, and it's a treat to see the footage from the 60s.
That was a good video. I'm 63 and I remember when the park was like that. We went every summer when I was a kid. Thank you.
OMG I miss that Disneyland. I'm a mid sixties baby and vaguely remember jungle cruise with pigmy men dancing LOL. I have pics of me in stroller in front of park. I remember E ticket books for rides. Sigh.. So many changes
Beautifully made, the commentary and effects were SUPERB. Thank you for providing a little normal in all this chaos.
Just cant stop smiling, love Disneyland so much!
Thank you for that Film footage 🤗 That is the Disneyland of my childhood.. So many many memories have been flooding back.😢 Of shared wonderful and beautiful Memories of loved ones who are no longer here that I toast. It was a good cry. Just what the doctor ordered, During these very hard times. I hope you and your family are safe and well and best wishes as always.
Your pals from the desert😎
Loved this! Would definitely like to see more Randomland Time Travel in the future.
Wonderful trip down memory lane - thank-you!!!!
You really outdid yourself on this one. Spectacular! What a wonderful trip back in time for us all, and a terrific tour, too!
You definitely put something together the older generations would love to see once again and remember their good times
Loved it! You could record imaginary journeys to relax or fall asleep! So awesome❤️
You are amazing Justin. Your narration for this video was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for all the work that you do, to bring us this caliber of entertainment. You are a young man of many talents. It is greatly appreciated.
This was amazing! I was 4 in 1972 when Dad had to go Boeing for training (he was an airline mechanic at Delta). He took us to Disneyland and Santa Monica pier that week. I remember the cars, the sky buckets, the mules (omg!!!). Thank you so much for this. I have since moved to CA from GA and each time I go to Disney, I try to find some remnants of that time. Oddly, it is the smell of the Matterhorn and the exhibits on the train that bring it all back.
Love seeing classic Disneyland🏰 It's crazy to see what has changed. So many things I wished I could have experienced, but I am happy that many things have stayed. Thank you Justin for this awesome video!!
I LOVE this video. Can't wait for more. If I had a time machine, this is exactly what I'd do with it.
Doing more videos of the past, either classic monster, past attractions or anything like that is just golden.
When Disneyland was fresh, adventurous, exciting, and scary. I remember all those rides shown in these clips. Thanks for the memories everyone and for the fine video, Justin.
Wow. It’s so different, yet it also hasn’t changed a bit.
I love this video. I miss the old days. Thanks for taking us back in time. Stay safe.
One of the greatest videos without going. Great voiceover!
Back then we believed more in the Magic that is Disney.
More respect for others, NO cell phones! Lol! Every Sunday night at 8:00 pm I remember Walt and Tinkerbell bringing us another great adventure, in color! Even today the Magic is still there all we have to do is believe... Thanks for sharing
Loved it, thank for the Disney parks fix and this wonderful nostalgia trip
Thank you, Justin, for the look back. This is how I remember seeing Disneyland for the first time in the spring of 1975. Brings back so many memories!
This was great!!! So many times I felt like you were walking through Disneyland just like you've done for us, and so many times now. Thank you for this. Soooooo needed right now. Love to see more old videos like this. Maybe even some for each decade.
I love that you did this!!! I miss Disneyland but this time travel piece was awesome! Thank you!
WOW! WOW! ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!! You did an EXCELLENT job on this time travel DLand adventure. Love your narrating throughtout, especially your Jungle Cruise skipper, Submarine Captain, and Grandpa at the end. Well Done Justin!👏
I love looking back at what Disneyland used to be❤️
Justin, I’ve been away from Randomland for a few years. I’m so happy that you are going strong. This is my first time watching your Time Travel series. Please keep them coming. I love it! I can’t wait to show my son. He is a Senior this year so, needless to say, 2020 has turned out pretty poopy for him so far. This should cheer him up. I wishing you and all your family and friends good health.
This is why I watch these video’s!!!
This was really cool for the tense time we’re in. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.
Gotta love those 8 mm cameras. State of the art back then
I still prefer the look of that film to most anything these days. Especially the colors. The colors are just beautiful.
Thanks for sharing. The last time I was there was 1967. It brought back a lot of good memories.
I was 12 in 1967
This was my Disney. Thanks for the memories. 💖
I miss Disneyland and old Disneyland. Don’t get sick 😷
This Vlog is right up there with the incredible Hoover Dam Vlog. The narration is perfect. I can’t believe how well dressed everyone is. It reminds me a lot of Disney World in Florida in the 70s.
I’ve been watching since like 2014 and this is easily one of your best videos
Super rad video style! Love this blast from the past video footage format and we always love your Disney history videos! ✨💖✨
Wow Justin! I remember those days at Disney in the 60's. My family road on the Matterhorn when it was not quite finished., and I was in the front seat and you could see the raw interior with beams of wood that support the insides. Thanks for taking us back to early DISNEY !
I was there in the 60s. My dad worked at Aerojet General. Every year we had 'season tickets' for one night where they would close down the whole park for his company. It was magic!
Another great Time Travel episode. I remember watching the Indians dance & riding the pack mules. Lots of great memories. ❤
I cried and smiled through this😢🥰
Yes indeed! I grew up in the Los Angeles area during the 1960's and 70's. Me and my mom and dad would go once every year. 😊😊😊 Love this! Thanks, Justin!👍
This was a really cool step back in time! Enjoyed greatly!
Thank you, Justin.
Way back when, the park guests were allowed onto Main Street in preparation for the park’s daily opening. The crowd was kept back by a chain across the street and when the chain was taken down, people would run to their favorite rides (usually the Matterhorn, an example of the timeless, universal love of all things Swiss).
Very exciting times for a youngster in the 1960’s!
Thank you for posting this, Justin! I really needed this warm, nostalgic video today! 😊
I love when you do the "good old days" videos! Great job as always!
Great episode! Would love to see more from other times and other parks!
Justin, you did a great job of making someone’s old movies fun and exciting. I love the concept of time traveling. I enjoyed your voice over comments. Way to go!
This is so great! I really wish I could just time travel back to one day in the 60’s and go to Disneyland❤️
The small world footage is absolutely amazing! This means that this footage is from 1969 since the spinning gears and flowers on the clock tower were repainted from silver with black highlights (1966-68) to gold!
Awesome job with all the vintage footage. I love the idea of a society that gets dolled up to go out in public. But at the same time, I would probably be miserable. Thanks for sharing a simpler time. Much appreciated!
Thanks for this
I went there in 1968 when i was 23
I worked for socal gas co and we got to go free every year had a private party from 8 to 1am
My oldest son and i got to ride space mountain twice in a row!
Fun times thanks
Randomland Time Travel is my favorite time travel
Now THIS is a unique way to make the best of a bad situation. BRAVO!
Thank you for the Incredible Journey into the past. We are encouraged to display our Christmas tree light on our homes for those that lost loved ones to the Coronavirus covid-19.!!
That was such a fun video! Thanks for taking us to the past!
This is sooooo good! Thank you!
love the vintage videos - please do more like this from different eras!
This just took me right back to when I was a young kid. This is the Disneyland I remember!!
