Great video, thank you. Yesterday was one year to the day when i put my girl down. She was my first horse, a dangerous rescue. i had her my entire adult life, and rode her for 26 of the 27 years we were together. I happily plopped myself into step 1, denial, for 6 months... most people in my life don't even know i lost her! Since she'd roamed around the farm her last year grazing, i just let myself feel she was still out there. Being 31, i knew it was her time, so no anger... but the bargaining... I'd swear that's the worst part... At the end of the day, though i made mistakes along the way, i know i did the best i could at any time, and am so happy to have had her in my life. Hugs to everyone out there going through loss of any kind.
We just put my girl down today, was very hard. It definitely hurts, this gives me hope for the healing process.
