If you're like me, you sometimes fall into a rut where all your photo edits look the same. Fortunately, there is a powerful Lightroom feature hiding in plain sight that can help you get out of that funk. It's called Recommended Presets, and I'm going to show you why you should use it.
    Chapters:
00:00 - The cure for photo editing boredom
01:20 - The difference between Lightroom Presets and Profiles
04:23 - What are Recommended Presets
06:03 - Using Recommended Presets with landscape photos
10:29 - Using Recommended Presets with urbex photos

I've only just discovered your channel on CZcams. I use Lightroom only for my edits but have come to a place where I am not progressing. Your videos have been a revelation for me, I've only watched a watched four or five but they have been so helpful you explain things so clearly. I look forward to learning more . Thank you

HI Brian - Good Vid. I was wishing you had shown what happens on your system when saving a version when you do it from the preset. And now that I'm trying it again an hour laters is works ok. I must have an AI flu bug. Anyway I like using these to give me ideas and open up rabbit holes to go down and get lost in. I also like that I can see what someone was actually thinking by looking at the settings. Please do a vid about the Lightroom Community, looks interesting. Thanks - Tim

I was introduced to the lightroom community section through your wonderful virtual Lightroom summit 2024. I'd love more information on the usage. I've worked through a couple of areas, mostly following my favorite educators.

Hi Brian, this is a really useful video. I just tried using recommended presets on my iPad. When I tap on the preset, I get the ellipsis and I get the more like this option, but I can’t seem to pull up the slider to adjust the intensity of the preset. Is there a special trick for the iPad? Thanks!

Without a doubt, the best tutorial instructor I have come across for Lightroom. Thank you very much each and every time I tune you in I learned about some hidden secret, but I didn’t that I was not aware of. Thank you for your timely research and efforts to reach us allwith your deep knowledge of this application😊

"Disabled for local images. To get AI based suggestions from the community, sync and edit in cloud." What the heck??? Ok, you have to have some photos synced to the cloud before you can use the recommended presets. And you also have to edit while on the Cloud tab. Another "cool way" to enjoy Lightroom Desktop Brian. Still learning more and more about how to use Lr instead of LrC in my workflow. What are your thoughts on ACR vs Lr in a workflow? You, Matt, and Blake all have similar but different approaches that I'm influneced by (dare I say confused by at times too!?)

Once again a wonderful and helpful video, thanks.
A bit off-topic perhaps, but I am curious as to your thoughts on Adobe’s recently updated TOS (Terms Of Service) announcement. It seems to be blowing up on the internet in recent days, a lot of angry users out there.

This my sounds laughable to many, but I call your channel: "my Harvard of Ps & Lr" learning, because with you I have learned to click everywhere on Adobe, and I have become incredibly good manipulating and processing my images.
Thanks a million for your help, Brian!

Are Adaptive presets in LR Classic the same as Recommended and Premium presets in Camera RAW? If not, is it possible to use Recommended and Premium presets in LR Classic

    Hello Brian,
I am living in The Netherlands and want to use Ligtroom Web.
How can I change the language of the web version from Dutch to English? I am a creative cloud subscriber. Thanks!

I get why, but it’s just a shame that you have to sync your photos to the cloud to be able to use this feature. Shame users can’t do it locally.

Hi, Is it a good way to rename all the imported pictures to lightroom classic or leave the pictures name as is.
