I went there with the same info but when i was at the airport my spidey senses kicked in:) After 5 minutes of looking around i told my girl to watch her belongings. What ofcourse was reason enough to start a argument/fight and i was the negative guy who should shut up;) The ride to the resort led us along multiple townships with small buildings with tin roofs. Automatically i knew that if the difference between rich and poor is big the place is dangerous. To sum it up:) money from save stolen first day, they did it sneaky and only stole like 2 bills out of a stack but we 100% knew it was missing. Next day in the morning my cigarettes where missing that i left on the table outside the night before. On the 4th day there was a group of thiefs who sneaked on the private beach with small boats they stole electronics from the empty rooms and went back to sea!! Almost got pick pocketed at a tourist spot where the taxi driver ffing brought me;) And to top it of in the spirit of Mauritius my girlfriends sunglasses got stolen by a monkey:) luckely a local guy bargained with food and got it back...wich we ofcourse gave some money in return;) Like i said beautiful country but dangerous!

@@bekirsivri80 to be honest with you, good internet is pretty expensive compared to European standards, there is still way for improuvement on that side, but you can have a descent mobile data all around the island if you buy local simcards. I use it for for streaming most of the time. If you gonna stay in a nice resort, for sure you will get excellent wifi all over the place..

Mauritius has a microclimate for a small island so we were in Flic-en-Flac which had every day sun but when we went on day trips to Black Gorge River National Park, it was raining there and when we got back to Flic en Flac not a single drop of rain. Middle of the island tend to rain a lot so stay either on the west coast or the north coast where you going to get sun. When we landed, it was sunny,, went in the car heading to Flic en Flic it rained before we reached our destination which had blue skies. November is a good month but you are heading towards the rainy season. September and October are the best months IMO
@@brothersman524 i live in mauritius and it is true. U got to live on the north coast. It is best there and in november it is summer here so... there is a shining sun everyday. But even if you come in winter the temperature is always mild
