First one , common sense will tell you that if you're hair is really dark and you try to put a different colour hair dye on your hair it won't penetrate enough to look bright . It's kinda like when i see people with brown hair try to use blonde box dye and think it will look similar to whats on the box .

Yeah if you wanna color your hair unnatural colors but you don't wanna bleach your dark hair you really shouldn't expect anything more than a deep jewel tone or a tint when your hair is in direct light. I love doing this but I never hope for a vibrant outcome lol.

I watch these to atone for the hair sins of my past. LOL
I've been colouring my hair since I was 15. Always box dyes. And even I know you don't let the dye sit for any longer than it needs to. It's most potent when applied as soon as it's mixed. Otherwise it oxidizes and it doesn't work the way it was designed to. No instructions I've read has ever said to let it sit 😳
When you are young, everyone is some version of pretty/cute/attractive and can get away with almost anything. I love how he offers suggestions to make the most of whatever errors you make as he comments along the way. As for his beard, uh, no. imo. Love this channel and his comments for me are always spot on!

L'Oreal HiColor for dark hair has an amazing line of red hair dye. I've used it for years and I LOVE it really intense color with no need to lighten prior and cause more damage.🙏

I have nearly always had waist length, very straight, dark blonde hair.
Back in 2015, I was struggling to keep up the care of my hair (as I'm disabled & find washing & even just brushing it some days is so exhausting) so, I had a hairdresser come to my home (I have severe anxiety & leaving home is very stressful for me). I asked for a cut which would take my waist length hair, to just below my shoulders with a few layers to help it look thicker & give it a bit more 'umph', but that I needed it to be really low maintenance. Generally, I just wash it, towel dry it a bit, then comb it through & leave to dry naturally. It is only on a very rare/special occasion that I would use hairdryer etc & actually style it...most of the time it's pulled up loosely in a 'scrunchie' (loose velvet/satin/silk fabric hair tie).
I did show her images of what I was looking for, sort of a longer length 'Jennifer Aniston's Friends style'...
Well ... I ended up with the same hair cut as the hairdresser had... Cut VERY short, into the nape of my neck, like a 'pixie' cut at the back & on 1 side... The other side was longer, so it could be combed across the top of my head to the other side & styled just like it was a 'bob'.
I have ALWAYS had a middle parting, but she insisted on giving me a right on the edge of my head side parting, which I said that my hair wouldn't sit/stay in, due to a 'cows lick'... She still did it anyway...
I cried for days afterwards! It was SO short & cut so weirdly that it could only be styled 1 way & needed to be done everyday...
Needless to say, I have completely lost all trust in hairdressers & I haven't let 1 anywhere near my hair since! It has taken nearly 8yrs but it's finally grown back down to be almost at the bottom of my back again. From then, I have just cut the ends off myself. It doesn't really matter whether it's cut straight as it's always up & I don't leave my house much, so no one sees it anyway.

It specifically says on most of those bottles to use immediately. I think it causes a gaseous release that can make the bottle ooze.

One time I was colouring my hair red and some time before that I had bleached ends (only 3 cm I think) after my hair grew it looked cool. I have brown hair, so the roots were dark, then it went to red and the ends - lighter red. I didn't plan it, but I got a nice ombre.

I have not been to a salon since 1980 … real story . I can look back on my life and most of these reactions I have done … trial and error . When I had Radioactive Iodine I lost all my hair in 2015 .. I was devastated . It has taken me until now to style it again and feel confident. I’m thinking about doing my red streaks again it’s been about 10 years or so since I’ve done anything . Maybe I should do some bright wash out color and see how that goes first just to be safe . It’s taken a lot of tiny snips at ends to get it healthy again .

Love your videos 🤩 so entertaining and informative we are in lockdown at the moment here in Australia and I am very greatful that I had my hair professionally cut before hand even if it was a couple of months ago that's okay I am happy to let it grow for a while until I can go to the hairdresser again ☺️💝best advice I can give anyone in lockdown is " please do not cut your hair yourself of you are not a professional or you are willing to do the research and take the time to cut it properly with small sections 💕 you are better of using your Money and time on good quality hair treatments and getting your hair into a beautiful healthy state so that hopefully soon when you do get to the hairdresser they can say wow your hair feels beautiful and is very nice to cut 😉☺️

The girl with auburn hair..poor thing. She had beautiful hair and I’m glad she didn’t bleach or do that too. She could have cut it so much longer and then had hair to get fixed. I’m sad for her.

I'm fair skin and full of grey hair. Last year I left my hair for 9 months without coloring it to see of I would let it grow but looked like salt and pepper and with my fair skin ages me so I keep been a slave of my roots :(
My grey hair is so rebel that the only color it holds is black without my greys to look golden after time. My hair is pretty healthy because I color it every 2 months and in between I use a color spray for.loreal to keep my roots looking "freshly colored" but without damaging my hair so much.
Is it any shampoo I can use to help my grey hair don't look so silver in between coloring them?? I always fo it at home for years and looks even and natural with the black.

I used a bobble when I shaved my hair off, just so that the hair was kept together and didn't go everywhere. It's a good technique if you are trying to cut the bulk of hair off before tidying it up!

Anyone with dark hair like myself who doesn't want to strip their hair to get a vibrant colour- although a bit different than what many may want, I recommend the Noir Fatals colours by L'Oreal.

You said the dye won't work on her dark hair. There are a couple videos where women with hair that dark have mixed dyes and developer and something else.. no bleach.. and it HAS dyed it red. I was amazed!
you can use lifting colors like Hi lift from l'Oreal. That works on dark hair, Vitality's has also that kind of colors. But a normal color can not work on that dark hair.

Pls let me know how can i dye my hair blonde again. i had colored my hairs pink and violet in strips i tried to blonde my hair again so i tried bleaching first but it turned out the violet color into green after bleaching my hairs. Pls help and tell me how can i make it fully blonde

I hope that girl learned a lesson after cutting her hair so short with ponytails. It doesn't work it a stupid idea. I would not cut my hair or bleach my hair. I would always get a trained hairdresser to do the job right the first time. Then there is know reason for mistakes.
