    Round the world sailor Dee Caffari talks about Danbouy in the RORC Series Best Practices for Safety at Sea.     Dee, I watched all 12 but feel this is just to basic, the videos need more detail and actual demonstrations in rough sea conditions, no mention of how important the leg straps are and visual demonstration to show how life jacket will lift up over you head when in the water without leg straps. Show the best way to get a man overboard back on in rough conditions, and how do you do it at night. The AIS beacons do not float and some are very difficult to operate manually. No mention of a MOB button on chart plotter, sails down, stop boat, heave too.

      I agree these could do with more meat, but they are not supposed to be comprehensive. Yachting Monthly has a more in depth video (mob retrieval and recovery).

      Thank you for your comments Frank. As pointed out in the videos. These are designed to make you think about safety for your particular kind of sailing. It is not possible to demonstrate as requested because the conclusions are different for boats and crews. If there is a particular topic that you would like to have more details on then please ask.
