- A viewer recommended this drama to me! General and I had moments that were CUTE AF. At first when I saw snippets and trailers of this drama.. I thought of the main male character as possessive. His tone was always "YOU'RE MINE" but as I watch the drama.. It's kind of cute. He's this super badass General that always gives in to her and treats her like the best thing that ever existed.
It was an overall good drama. Angelababy has improved a lot as an actress. If there was an Oscar for fainting, she'd take it. She fainted in like.. EVERY EPISODE. The only part of this drama I didn't like is that there was a really long separation period between the two main leads and it built suspense but it also bore me a bit. Especially since this drama was 62 episodes long, it can't really afford to lag or else people would lose interest fast.

You should watch Rebel Princess too. Excellent drama! Eternal love and Love and destiny are fantasy dramas that are great, maybe you already watched them.😊

General and I was a fantastic drama. Never regretted watching it. The fight scenes are the most amazing in this drama among all the other dramas I have seen. And there's no such perfect man as Chu Bei Jie. His love for Ping Ting touched my heart. And the chemistry between Wallace Chung and Angela Baby is definitely one of a kind. Must watch drama👍🏻👏

The movie didn’t stay true to the plot. The girl isn’t supposed to be beautiful like angelababy. In the book she’s not good looking but really brilliant and goes through lots of turmoil and stuff.

Amazing how we watch the same drama and we thoroughly enjoyed while some complain because they are biased against female lead.

I loved General and I it was amazing. I liked that she wasn't almost useless like most female leads and she had her own power and even saved him also. They had amazing chemistry no lie. I cried as well even when I rewatched it when they had her funeral. I do love her

I'm in awe at your flawless editing here, and the song was a perfect choice. I haven't watched this drama but your video displayed what's possibly the strongest moments of the drama, I'm quite interested in this show as well.

In the end hexia or whoever's the enemy name is was still selfless he pushed ping ting back to chu bei jie so she wouldn't fall to the death and get spared with him. In the end he gave her the redemption by releasing her to freedom. Remember she yelled *Let me be* in the end she was so tired and wanted to live

I think he loved ping ting to the end. He was hurt by her. He felt betrayed. He hated cbj more than he loved ping ting. At the end he realized how much his wife loved him and how much ping ting loved cbj.
He pushed her back because he loved ping ting and he realized he loved his wife. He wanted to die with his wife not ping ting. He also wanted to save ping ting.
He did it so he wouldn’t kill another women he loved

This is my very first historical c-drama and I am not regretting it. I love this so much, there relationship is so mature. Their love for each other could conquer war and several deaths. Very loyal and faithful.

I must say, that you're ending is what I imagined He Xia's thoughts to be about. I thought that he would save Ping Ting because after all, she is his family. But in the movie I believe He Xia pushed Ping Ting because he remembered his wife
Nooo! I was having a hard time motivating myself to continue the show, so I watched some reviews and mv about it, but non of them made any impact on me. Then I watched this video, it was actually really captivating, and to top it off, He Xia looked like he pushed her to save her, which made me tear up. I had finally found my motivation to continue the show. But then I learn that he didn’t even do it to save her. It kind of disappoints me. However, this video is still motivation enough for me!! ( FYI, this is by all means not me being angry at you for telling what actually happened, I just really wanted to comment on this, and then your comment gave me some last piece of information which I wanted to include so that I ended up replying your comment:))

I still feel like this is best chinese drama in 2017 I don't care when they said eternal love is better or Angelababy cannot act because honestly speaking can any other drama beat the strong plot, the strong chemistry of the couple, and the acting of the actors? None yet.
You definitely know what a great drama is. They hate it because Angelababy is not their favourite and they are biased. I watched everyone's favourite that includes eternal love and ashes of love, but this story is just great.
I agree.. Angela baby did a great job..i noticed that the same people follow her and leave hateful comments. They bully her. They are so jealous. Not only is she a good actress she is really sweet(watch keep running) I wish Ron Howard or another director would notice and help her.
I don't understand where the rumor started that angelababy cant act. I became a fan of hers because of general and I. I thought she did a really good job.
She showed different emotions throughout the drama. Not to mention the chemistry between her and all the male leads. Not as fantastic as Wallace but he has much more experience. Her character was very complicated. To appreciate her you have to understand the character she was playing. And the directing was not the best. Angela was photoshoped in too much.not her fault.
Drama needs a redo with better directing.

The Korean Historical drama i keep changing my mind between Dong yi, queen love and war, moon embracing the sun and Yi San.
