My VideoNow Collection Part 1: The Players

"I want my Video Now!" All of my Hasbro Tiger Electronics & Playskool VideoNow Personal Video Players I have: VideoNow, VideoNow Color, VideoNow XP and VideoNow Color FX, plus TV Now Personal Video Recorder. The cases that hold the players contain PVDs.
Although I forgot to mention, Tiger also made HitClips, which were like these mini music players with music chips worth about 60 seconds of a song. There was also a limited Kool-Aid red VideoNow player that was available through Kool-Aid points, but now is really rare to find.

There are two Target exclusive PVDs, one containing SpongeBob SquarePants: Nasty Patty/Idiot Box and another containing SpongeBob SquarePants: No Weenies Allowed/Squilliam Returns

The Max and Ruby PVD came in a 3 disc pack with Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Prince and Little Bill: Copy Cat/Picture Day

Today, you could buy some Single-Board Computer components to make a device similar to the VideoNow Player.

You seem very knowledgeable on the video now. I’ve been having trouble with mine, it is a color fx and every time I insert a disc it does the loading clock and then reads no disc. It used to work a few years ago and now I keep getting that error message. If you have any ideas please just let me know (:

The lazer inside is probably dead. U would have to fix it or just display it.

The laser is dead on my two VideoNow Jr. players, while one of my Ice Blue Color FX players has a broken contrast dial (it is stuck on a high contrast)

The video now is a novel. Concept for its time it definitely aged poorly compared to streaming on iPads today but it’s still a nice collectible

I've shown the TV Now here, the Juice Box I've showcased in another video and I didn't feel like showing my Tiger TalkBoy this time. (Although not showcased either, I also have two Tiger Electronic LCD Games: Mega Man 2 and The Lion King.)
