Man, this was a beautiful fight. I've watched a lot of videos of the C fight on youtube, and yours is the first I've found that completely dominated him WITHOUT resorting to gamey shit like infinitely casting Chrono Burst. Well fucking done.
Yeah I used chrno burst on Fie (Fastest party member) to double buff every one and she had a moebius level 5 so items had widrr ranges. Helped me a ton. CB is great.
I come back to this video every so often cause this was the first boss in forever to really give me true boss anxiety. I'm still tensing hearing this track 😭 Thanks to you though i really started realizing more opportunities when battling and i'm super grateful for that. :D

Great Vid! I just beat the game on hard mode a month ago. Almost done with Cold Steel II. What makes this damn battle hard in general, isn't the fight itself but the damn double battle that they put you through. I hate that shit.
Everyone here was vital in my run. Fie was the evasion tank, as usual, to bait enemies to waste their fire. Rean was the DPS, making sure every enemy took damage in every turn. Angelica was crucial to causing Faint on C. I like to imagine the nasty shock on his face when Angelica flash-stepped before him before dropping him to his knees. And Alisa is the CP battery keeping everyone else going!
This dude absolutely destroyed me time after time in my first playthrough. Just went back after finishing CS4 yesterday and did him first time. That was fun, but this is next level. I really need to use magic more. The delay always puts me off but this was a masterful display on how to do it right. Very satisfying to watch.
I miss the turn manipulation you could do in this game. There plenty of ways to break the sequels but man I miss the crazy stuff you could do in this game.
This battle when fight against C isn't 'The Decisive Collision' until he forced to reveal himself when Claire shot on his head. Anyways after the battle against C when he drops the Double Saber & 2 of the Gold Archaisms explodes with a Flash Grenade with it & the Airship appears out of nowhere Claire ordered the Railway Military Police to open fire to shoot them down but the Provincial Officer ordered his soldiers to stop them making argue each other but this Airship was shot down by automated Sniper Rifle
By any chance on fie did you have any gladiator accesories? I dont think i used fie in this fight. I used elliots moon shield and machias guard shield. Was a god damn hassle with a ton of EP items used. You make this fight seem like nothing.
Im currently on trails 2. Rean is my main guy for craft delay. I really need to use fie some more. What do you think about emma in this game? i want to use her but for me she gets Ko'd so easily it pisses me off.
Racast Nah its all good, I finished the game already, was wondering about trying nightmare. But it looks like trails 2 taught me more about zeus gem + impede on rean and etc. Emma is honestly better in 2 than 1 imo
Emma's Crescent Shield craft is great stuff... like Crescent Mirror without the art casting time. Really useful if the boss is a quick caster that doesn't give you a chance to cancel & throws down something truly nasty like an Ancient Glyph on 1 turn. When the boss hits all 4 of your party members but the arts reflect means you're safe & the boss takes the damage instead, I love it.
Use Rean's Arc Slash craft to delay the two robots. Spam Angelica's Zero Impact craft on «C» to keep him in Faint status. Use one characters only for healing and buffing. You might want to look at your Quartz setup, equip these that do useful status effects and speed quartzes. Most bosses can be delayed («C» is exception, though), exploit it.
I called this trick : double maintain When you do a battle with next boss will engage after previous battles, do some "maintenance" when the enemy is : - reduce to 1 (any) - the health as lowest as you can get (not KO) buff impassion to everyone or use alisa's heavenly gift (craft - 50 CP) to get the edge of every single teammate (except her)...Do this till the ALL cp full and if possible is included all member who in support... Swap it and cast "impassion" until all character cp is full... Btw, of course the enemy will not stand still to look at you "maintaining" your characters to be in top shape... Use adamantine shield (200 EP cost) and cresent moon shield (150 EP) to protect all active members from any attack (once each, can't stack)... Additionally, use any EP item to make them ready... ... I might recommend you to do the 1 million mira achievement while doing this... So you can stock up the tearal balm, celestial balm, EP change 3 (trade shop) and celestial balm EX (trade shop)
It’s kinda weird to hear the English dub when you played with the Japanese one. Not bad tho. The bosses later on were no problem with 100% evasion on Rean

It was absolutely bizarre seeing the enemy get a chance to attack at 11:00

It's a shame that in CS1 your max XP gained is capped at 9,999 otherwise you could have easily got more than 20k XP

I prefer to rely more on crafts that arts so Emma is useless for me. As for gladiator accesories, I guess so. Sorry, I don't really remember.
