I have a weathermaster, its a great tent. Not a chance it would sleep 10 though
Makers of these cabin tents: plan on developing the future ones to be weighing less than 15 lbs. A lot of them are 17+ pounds which is heavy; in reference to motorcycle touring. Kelly's Tallboy is the lightest weight tall tent where a person can stand up in; it weighs 9lbs.

@@SeryKotyara hut tents, tall enough to stand up in...touring tents are lower in center height. So far it has been Kelty Tallboy, and REI's 4-p hut tent weighing less than the rest. Taller tents are simply a matter of staying in the tent and changing clothes easier.

The "person capacity" of ALL these tents, as in MOST tents, is based on crowding as many people as possible into them, which is fine if you're okay with sleeping with someone else's feet in your face!
These tents, in their ads, show furniture and accessories within. To get the "person capacity", EVERYTHING shown in the tent(that wasn't hanging from the CEILING!) would have to be REMOVED!
A far more logical way of determining how many people a tent REALLY holds, COMFORTABLY, is to take the manufacturer's claim and cut it in HALF! Even FURTHER if you like to have some room to move around in, or you want that furniture inside

Too many different sleep habits to fit 8-10 people...they are great tents but I would rather have a large area for fewer individuals.

I will put my Browning Big Horn 2 person tent up against any of them for wind and rain and hail. That's right I said hail. My tent is 6 years old has seen wind up to 55 mph for 2 day's straight severe thunderstorms multiple times and quarter to half dollar size hail at least 4 times. I go camping 10 days straight every month May - September and live in South Dakota. Has never leaked and purchased it new when they first came out. The only tent I would trade it for would be the BlackPine Pinecrest Turbo 10 Tent which I'm pretty sure they don't make anymore and is 3 times the money of the Big Horn

Anything that is under a five adult camping tent is not a family tent
These tents are always based on sleeping... theres more to a tent than sleep.... and they never have windows only net covered holes.. there are far better tents available..with bedrooms and a lounge area and a kitchen area ....and those poles are so yesterday .....
When we go camping the idea is to be outdoors, unless we are sleeping we spend all our time outside, even in the rain thanks to my new 12x12 easy up.
Cheap plastics, only sales talk, what about fire resistant or other safety features,
