Everything about Google is totally dumb. And the restored folder, after a while, they DISAPPEAR from there! I had BACKED UP photos that also disappeared!! And even THIS is not working!!

Thanks Neil, just what I needed. I had to move photos from my Samsung to Google Photos as I got a 'nearly full' warning. But even when I delete them from Google photos - eg I remove the blurry/big photos - but the GB count doesn't seem to reduce . Any suggestions?

You are very easy to follow! After the photos are loaded into GALLERY, can I copy them to a mini hard drive ? I have a cable to connect the two.

What if I want to download photos AND VIDEOS to gallery from google photos and I also want to be able to keep the date the picture was taken because i don't want to add it to gallery and it showing the date it was transferred to gallery instead of showing the date the video or photo was TAKEN

8000 pictures and 1000+ videos man somehow i get my 6000 pictures back help of restoring media but i can't get a single video they are totally deleted
Do you have Google Photos, if so, look in the trash/bin/recycle bin in Google Photos
Also, quickly - go to Takeout.google.com and download all your photos now, they might still be there... That's if you have Google Photos.
Also, have you checked if there's a trash in whatsapp?
Also, whatsapp puts videos and photos into different folders (forgive me I don't know what type of phone you have) so the videos might be around somewhere... fingers crossed
@@neilmossey i didn't delete them by my self i just delete WhatsApp them i go to gallery the pictures videos all are deleted i restore the what'sapp then some pictures are restore but videos are not even in Google photos
