Alon Ben David, a Senior defence correspondent for Israeli Channel 13 described the conditions of the captives recently released by Hamas saying the hostages were treated well by Hamas and they were not subjected to torture or ill-treatment. Ben David said Hamas also attempted to provide the hostages with medication and food daily.

👍exactly.... Israel holds reportedly around five to eight thousands Gazans in prison, many of them are as young as twelve years old - they are beat, interrogated, starved and not allowed to shower. Reportedly, around two thousand are held on administration detention which means no sentence no trial - around two hundred of them are twelve years old and under. A prisoner without a trial or sentencing held indefinitely is not a prisoner in the eyes of international law, but instead a hostage. This has been specified multiple times over the past decades in the United Nations and by Amnesty International and Human Rights groups and other organisations.
Thousands of Palestinian children are held hostage. Many are teens. Even greater numbers are under twelve. They are 🚫 NOT 🚫 treated well. Quite the opposite.

Worst of all, israel intentionally breaches international humanitarian law which outlaws the transfer of civilians, including detainees and prisoners from the occupied territory to the territory of the occupying state. Israel's disregard of the prohibition became the main reason for the prisoners and their families to unably exercise their right to visitations. Hence, the families were never allowed to visit the prisoners and detainees, as collective punishment. Also, some the prisoners and detainees who die (usually due to severe torture) in israeli prison without ever seeing their families are further more imprisoned after death due to Israel's policy of postmortem detention which leaves grieving families without closure, unable to bury the corpse of their loved ones - it's inhumane and barbaric practice.

Also, many of the hostages said they were beaten on the way to Gaza and even tortured to some degree. I've seen a footage of an elderly woman getting beaten by sticks on the way to Gaza. Also, SHANI LOUK - She was half naked and spit on after they beat her. She was later murdered. Naama Levy was also filmed with blood stains on her crotch, and basically everywhere when she was forcely put inside a van.

So in fact they are hostages as well...and guilty only of resisting the treatment they receive under Israel's system of apartheid and dehumanisation...so probably innocent as well. In case you weren't aware, resistance to occupation is protected under the 4th Geneva Convention. But of course Israel has never paid much attention to international law.

There is a video of injured hostages being taken to the hospital for treatment on October 7. They were taken into the hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. And now we hear that they were not beaten they were not tortured they were given food even though it was scarce they still fed them they let them basically stay together nobody was separated they let them stay together so that they could lean on each other. They got the medication because they needed to have medication and even people in Gaza weren't getting medication and they were making sure as much as they could that these people received medication. And they want to label this group as some horrible terrorist organization.
