I Broke my LEG! Why I'm So Glad I Wore Knee Protection While Riding My Yamaha Yz250f

Here's the story of how I broke my leg and why I was so grateful that I actually was wearing great protection. Knee protection is something I am super keen on especially now that I am using motorcycle jeans more often than I wear my Revit Sand 3 pants.
in summer it's just too hot for the Sand 3 pants I want more ventilation. Ventilation & protection don't always go hand in hand. So let's take a look at a few items I wear on the regular to keep my knees protected for many years to come.

when street riding, I wear CE2 like yours,it's D3O(not sure if it's fake), in China the winter is coming, when I gonna wear it I have to heating the pads that make the pads softer.
I'm new in motorcycle, I guess my pads are fake, cos it's cheap,cost me abound 15 bucks and there's a “DSO”Mark on it😅on the back is "EN 1621-1:2012 D302".

Maybe. Not sure what fakes look like. D30 normally should be a bit softer until impact, but I also find it a bit uncomfortable in the knees. That’s why I like the SAS-TEC. CE 2 and super easy to wear all day.
They were about €20 for both. Heating the pads before every ride seems a bit rough…. May be worth trying some new ones.

Great video. I'm constantly worrying about protection. I do have a pair of John Doe Defender cargo pants that are AAA rated and have hip and knee protection but I'm still wanting to buy some sort of boot that offers foot and shin protection. I'm thinking of the Forma Terra Evo dry and they look awesome but could be and overkill for everyday riding. What are your go to ridding boots in the city? Cheers

Thanks so much man! I also got some alpinestar Belize boots… so awesome, but they are more for off-road.
The issue with some bigger boots you can’t feel the shifter as well so for me I don’t like the riding experience.
I still use them in winter cause they are warm and waterproof.
My summer preference is a pair of keen waterproof hiking boots or my revit H2O shoes.

I think I will get some Bohn armor mesh under liner for my Klim pants. Feel safer then. Thanks for your video. I ride a F 750 GS 21 . With thousands in mods. Just got the touring seat with Air Flow cover. Beats the Texas heat big time. Absolutely love this bike. My 1st BMW. Wow cruise control and quick shift is amazing. My pivot pegs are super confident inspiring. to not slip off standing or sitting. Liked and Subbed.
