No one was moving because they were only vibing to their friends trash beats 😂 I’ve been to one of these beat battles in Toronto and the majority of them is just whoever brings the most friends wins 💀
that makes a lot of sense for a local gig. a lot of the smaller local punk and metal shows were I grew up were 50% the bands' homies and their boos
that's any battle of the bands/beat/competition - it no longer becomes about the music and creates animosity in the scene just do shows and put your local producers on its way better that way
you not winning is nonsense but at least there wasn't any bias with being masked up lol
He lost because of where he said he was from. That’s where the bias came from. If you’re a TO local, you want another TO local to win. He was probably literally the only person there telling anyone he was from anywhere else. that makes people think “so this guy has already got it well enough that he can book a flight for a beat battle?” which not only raises their expectations of you but also makes you look like a cocky veteran that doesn’t need the money or recognition from the win compared to the other contestant.
@@SaltSpirits plus while sampling may be popular in the general music space, it was a producing competition. i feel like they were pretty focused on the ability the producers had to create their own rather than remixing an already popular song. i think he thought too much like a youtuber creating something for his fans rather than a producer competing amongst other producers.

He has a big audience because he can explain the basics decently and works the algorithm. Having an online audience has tricked him into thinking his art itself is as appreciated as his online persona but yet he can't overcome his opponent possibly having a few friends there. honest opinion dude. I've been battling beats here in the Philippines way back 2013 - 2015. As far as my experience of losing in beat battles was you had a wrong pick to start with. Not that it's not that good it was dope as hell. but could've been a second beat if it was a 2 round battle. ooooooor you could've ditch the million dollar baby sampled intro and started from scratch maintaining the drop. i think most of the judges think it's a lil bit cheesy to go for a hit song in the present era. but kudos bro I've been watching your channel for a long time and i think you have a big potential to be a beat battler. you could've won that easily. if ever you're going to battle again you can use DJ's perspective as a lethal tactic. hope to see you battle again. this time as you. 1. Complete package with vocals, doesn’t matter it was sampled or remixed.
2. It was straight to the point of the vibe, but interesting intro.
3. Drop element that was refreshing at a spot where it could have been repetitive.
Overall, sensible production with clear intention. Skills and experience is apparent. Not that the other guy did bad either, but yours had a clearer overall picture.
