    I REALLY enjoyed watching your series of videos during your road trip with your Dad!
    I remember road trips with my Dad forty years ago and now I am the Dad, many years later.
    Used to own various 911s and love your 964...just bought an RS4 V8 and am busy planning indulging my son, in a road trip through the Alps. (To be honest, I'd prefer to do it in a 911!)
    So, indulging my greatest two passions...quality time with my son before he leaves home and road tripping through the Alps in a fun car.
    Thank you, fantastic content and really got me fired up!

    Love this. Myself and my son are doing something similar in May. We’ll be touring parts of France, Switzerland and Germany in our cars. He’ll be driving his recently restored Mazda MX5 and I’ll be in my 1977 Porsche 911 SC Targa, also recently restored. Can’t wait!

      Wow, sounds like a dream trip as well! We are thinking to one day do something similar. My dad in his 356 and me in my MGB. Such a trip would include less kilometres because 60s cars aren't great at high mileage trips but it would be a sight to see! I wish you guys the best of luck!

      @@Retroschaft Hi, we got back on Monday. Unfortunately my son’s car broke down before we left so we both did the drive in the 911. To be honest although he was disappointed it worked out quite well as we had more time to chat and shared the driving. The car was perfect and performed beautifully with no issues. We did 1600 miles in 4 days in a car built in 1977. Not bad! Loved every minute and can’t wait to do it again. Hope you’ve got some more trips planned as well.

It was a huge motivation behind making this video to the best of my abilities. More than a cool series for the channel, it's a way to remember the fantastic times my father and I had. So I truly hope you can make a trip and make those memories. The best of luck and hope your father gets better soon!

    Beautiful filmed! I’m jealous of travelling with your dad, I would not be able to do that.. 😂
    The Delta’s were all 4 door yes. (Except the S4 which really was NOT a Delta but a 037 Evo 4WD Turbo you could say.. (With a Delta silouette body)). That rear car had the original Integrale wheels.

    I really enjoyed that, thank you. I’m loosely planning a similar trip for 2024 from the U.K. in my Giulia Quadrifoglio and picking up my family at Milan airport and go touring through northern Italy with them.
    How did you book your hotels? Were they pre booked or did you just arrive?
    Did you plan everything on sat nav or were paper maps used?
    I’ve subscribed and liked the video, I think I need to invest in a go-pro for when it’s my turn!

    • @Retroschaft
      @Retroschaft  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi Kurt, thank you for your comment! My father actually did all the organizing on this trip and he did indeed book the hotels beforehand and also planned our route quite extensively. He highlighted on printed maps which passes we would do and then we used sat nav to help us navitage to those passes and to our hotels. Hope this helps!

    Hi, nice videos for sure. It's still a dream for me to do such road trip with my 87 3L2. Just a question about the wipers of your car. It's seem that you add a kind of "spoiler" hand made. Is it realy efficent ? How it has been done ? Possible to send me more pictures of that solution ?
    Many thks P.S. I live in Belgium too.

    • @Retroschaft
      @Retroschaft  Před 11 měsíci

      Hi, thank you for the nice words! At some point the springs didn't hold the wipers down enough anymore to wipe the windscreen, especially at higher speeds. My dad made a concoction with plastic plates and zip ties and it actually worked 😅 it's nothing special though, a bit of trial and error should yield similar results!
