those people in the audience have no clue what they witnessed.
Tyrone Keyes they’re witnessing a legend
Yeah...like seeing Biggie rapping at a bus stop and not knowing you are watching something on a different level
None
Seriously. Patrice was on a completely different level.
A-FUCKN-MEN BRUH!
Happy 50th birthday Patrice O’Neal R.I.P.
Tank Hankeress you don’t realize its value til it’s gone. He will be remembered
I still come across things of his I’ve never seen. We got to keep his appearances preserved. Such a legend.
I think I've watched Elephant in the Room more times than I've checked the weather
Holy hell what a solid, comfortable appearance
Miss that guy smh
YT has immortalized Patrice O’Neal. I never heard of him until a couple of years ago and now watch him regularly. His insight and courage was amazing. For me it’s like he’s here now.
I truly hope you've been listening to some of the Opie & Anthony radio shows with him on it. So much classic material in those.
same dude, i learned about patrice around the same time he died cos i got to see the Charlie sheen roast.
I read somewhere that the reason he would continuously go on O&A was to get his message out there and somewhat immortalize himself because he was aware his health was on the downward slope... Idk if there is something for us when we pass, but if there is, I hope Patrice is looking down and sees all the wisdom he has given men all walks of life.
And watch him when he was on Tough Crowd especially with Pat Cooper. Classic stuff
@@bucksatanII came to say this.
Patrice O'Neal isn't an easy guest to have for an interviewer. He dominates the interaction spectacularly. Thanks for the upload!
It was legit hilarious to watch patrice be a guest on this show and immediately take over the show.
So true
Comment ON POINT.
He walked in hostile not hugging Fallon and took over the whole room
Ever watch Carson when Robin Williams came on ? He just sat back and let him run. Today's interviewers are too insecure to allow that. It looks like he cut Patrice off.
8:26 I love Patrice calls him out “only 6 minutes!?” And then dies laughing. Damn I miss Patrice. He’s the only reason I’d ever watch a Fallon clip.
I was gonna point out the same thing.
But I think the laugh was more of him going over time as he's notorious for doing on stage that other comics get pissed.
I wish that laugh was isolated.
Tbh fallon was bearable before getting the tonightshow gig which he knew he isn't fit for.
Facts. This is the ONLY Fallon clip I will EVER watch.
Woooow I didn’t even pick up that audible until you mentioned now I understand why he was laughing in that chair
The way they "had" to cut him off right away hahaha, another victory for the legend
You can tell when Jimmy looks off camera, where he’s told to cut to commercial. Patrice was making things interesting and network didn’t like it.
The only person that Fallon won’t annoyingly interrupt. Tells you a lot about Patrice’s presence in the room.
yes dude
He was censored for talking against president at the end
Lots of others were like that also, with him. His presence was always undisputedly, POWERFUL.
Y’all don’t understand how hard it is to be not black if you black. He always hits the nail on the head.
@WorldFlex what's an example of a movie about "nothing"? I think Friday would fall around those lines.
@WorldFlex you've been living under a rock, Jordan Peele does just that
@@seeker_-_ wasn’t the point, but ok guy.
Can you say that again but a little louder for the people in the back
Can someone explain that quote to me? I am really having trouble understand what it means. That black people don't understand other people have it hard too?
"YOU CAN'T LIVE AND NOT OVERTHINK!"
This man is the greatest of all time for me.... He's literally the epitome of "if you know... you know"
I can GUARANTEE if you introduce Patrice's work to ANYBODY... at first they won't understand but just let them digest his stand up & interviews for SIX MONTHS & they'll turn a corner.
One of my biggest regrets in life is not being able to meet him. Not a single comedy club I go into here in NYC that doesn't have his photo somewhere. He was truly one of a kind!
R.I.P to the Black Phillip! Sleep in Power Patrice O'Neal
True 👌🏾I couldn't believe how funny Patrice was when I first found out about dude; and I only found out about him through another youtubers' controversy, I was like how is this dude this funny but this unknown a t the same time. Your time coming too though, bro. I'm still waiting for them to put your commentary bits on ESPN somewhere.
"... get aboard the L__________ TRAIN!..."
"...[takes off helmet with haste](rather agressively) that's how the WHITE man runs the football..."
😂😂😂 Keep it up bro 👍🏾
I understood him right away, the moment I saw him many years ago... I think a background inbstruggle lends its self to his perspective.
@@jasonbrisco I got introduced to him from Chappelle and he didn't have much lines but something about him was so effortless and natural. It was the Haters Ball skit and I think he only had 2 lines that made the cut. He told Ice T, "you're corny!" For some reason his delivery made me laugh hard and I immediately looked him up. I've been a fan ever since.
K
I constantly look up old Patrice O'Neal clips and I don't do that with very many people. The guy truly was a genius gone before his time.
Haha typical Patrice, comes out and holds court like his own show.
"I thought it was unfair to white people to have to be that mature to listen to that title" LMAO. God what I would do to get Patrice back. My favorite comedian for a decade now. His loss is comparable to someone like 2pac. He is the 2pac of comedy.
Godcaly123 A self- avowed sexist and racist, but always truthful hahaha, he was great. I will go on binges of listening to him sometimes, but the content gets to be really cynical and I have to turn it off. I feel another binge coming on though...
That is the best most righteous comparison I have ever heard.
@@genesiskeglar6372 how is it cynical?? Cause he's honest?? He was always willing to have the conversation with women asians or anyone he despised but they didn't want to have one back instead they rather cry and play victim making patrices points even more valid
Talent wise in their respective fields, he’s definitely on another level than Tupac but in terms of the impact they’re definitely comparable
@@Swagbearpig yo I love Patrice with all my heart but you can't say that he doesn't have a cynical outlook on things. He speaks the truth, but he speaks to the ugly truths, he's not out there talking about hope or how shit can be better lol.
I can only count on one hand how many guests I've seen go on talk shows and completely dominate not only the interview but the entire studio audience so flawlessly the way Patrice O'Neal did here. He was a true comic down to his core.
i agree. it was like everyone in the room were friends hanging out because how patrice shifts the dynamic so well. Elephant in the Room was a perfect name for his special.
@@CanYouHandleThis Patrice didn't care about space in that sense. He just didn't give a fuck, which was long known to be both a strength and a weakness for him. But this type of conversational style was what Patrice was always good at 👍🏽
"straight outta where" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The "800 pound gorilla" line would have brought the room to tears on Opie and Anthony
Seriously. I love that joke so much
It did it sure did
He's gone. We lost a GREAT one
Man... shits sad.. I'm only 33.. I caught on to him like right after he died
Could very easily say THE great one.
@@lewjones3 Ye dawg same
All time great, go check any and all of his content you're lucky enough to find
@@GrandElemental yes
At the end Patrice says "That was 6 minutes...Did you let me go early, Jimmy?" then gives him a little shove. Jimmy was getting uncomfortable and hit the kill switch lol
Had to replay it 2 times LMAO
Jimmy is such a puss
It was getting into political and too tense racial and he couldn’t keep up with out getting him into trouble. Conan would straight up said that: I you trying to get me canceled!?
@@mrdanyo1223 He was pretty stiff. I have to respect him for having Patrice on and going with his bits a little though, especially because of the clean, safe image he tries to uphold.
Funny Thing Is It Actually Was More Than 6 Mins Lol It Was 7 & Some Change
Thanks for sharing that pick up bro, seen this a million times and missed it every time.
The greatest. Some people say Richard Pryor, others say George Carlin etc. For me, Patrice was a fucking killer on or off the stage.
Truly the greatest hands down.
Dave and Patrice are like 2Pac and Biggie. Thank god at least one of them is still with us and still killin it
@@Win-tq2uf to me patrice was better than dave cause he truly had no filter Nd the black philip show changed lives , mr oneal was truly god sent.
Wow, what an absolute giant man. I mean, the ability to just walk into a room and immediately own that room with your charisma and comedic charm is something that very few people can pull off. There’s a real treasure to being self-righteous that Patrice O’ Neal could pull off, and it’s the idea of being so firm and sound in your convictions that you have the ability to speak your mind, no matter how polarizing, and convince people of where you stand through charm and seductive persuasion. It really is a true talent. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it.
Yeah man, well said!
Perfectly put, yes he had a level of charisma very few people have
And yet it took all of 2 seconds to have him change his mind about Face/Off.
"You have to overthink. You cannot live and not overthink."
The way he threw away that line is why he's the greatest to ever do it.
This might be the best front to back talk show appearance I've ever seen. He had no nerves and just relaxed into it. He was finally at a place where his aloofness was combining with his genius wit and its heartbreaking when you realize he was about to explode the way Bill Burr did on Conan. Rest in power Patrice.
Even on talk shows he goes after the crowd. Legend!
The world needs him so much right now.
We still got Corey Holcomb
You can feel the producer off to the side telling Jimmy to wrap it up lol
Jimmy was on edge, he had jimmy scared to talk
He know who he is n knew Patrice would tear him up if he spoke lol
Jimmy's like that all the time.. Nervous, fake laughs etc.
the stories of Patrice taking on all shit talkers is legendary...
@@KillShot-ln6mn I use to think that but dude is cool. I've grown to love him.
@@KillShot-ln6mn yeah he's always had that vibe that makes you think he's definitely into coke
"You can't live and not overthink." - Patrice O'Neal, 2011
"Elephant in the room"
Double entendre LOL
What a genius
AWH-AH! HE FAT!
it almost hurts to see this
Bittersweet pain
Its like seeing your old friend who you forgot how much you missed him. He made us all laugh in a fucked up way.
Same😫
Always watching Patrice and its always bittersweet
Once I was passed out with CZcams playing on auto...it recommended and landed on that Video of him singing that Blues song. Woke me up 3 AM in the morning and it made me tear up. Because I slowly woke up in a daze, realized it's loooong loooong past 2007 or whenever he sang that, and the world of comedy (and may I say everything else) has tangibly gotten worse. So I was mourning the loss of Patrice and an also an era.
Talking about Obama:
"It was nice to be alive to see it."
:(.. RIP dude
from watching a good bit of patrice recently, i feel like if he was still alive nowadays, he'd definitely be on the right wing side of the culture war and probably wasn't totally in love with obama. but that's just the feeling i get, who the fuck knows.
@@dancemattdanceify Definitely on the right wing side of the PC debate... everything else feels like a no.
@@dancemattdanceify he would for sure be on the right. He was a huge Alex Jones supporter and sung the praises of movies like “the Obama conspiracy” during his radio appearances. There’s a good chance he may have been a Trump supporter too just based of the “machismo” aspect that some people are attracted to.
That being said he’s one of the greatest comedians to ever live. He wasn’t a political scientist. You’ve just gotta take everything with a grain of salt and disagree when you know something he says is wrong
@@wyotea4085 Don't try to claim Patrice O'Neal for your political shit. He's not here to make fun of you for it.
@@AirsoftTim92 Everything he said was right outside of theorizing that Patrice would have enjoyed Trump.
Mad props to Fallon for doing a solid and inviting Patrice to his show. It was ballsy but damn, he got schooled.
Finally! Someone with something positive to say about Fallon. I'm not a fan of his, but there are way too many people dunking on Fallon in here. I mean, he chose to have Patrice on knowing what his personality and comedy are like, that's pretty cool.
Patrice O’Neal was one of those rare comedians that he didn’t have to force himself to be funny…
The man was naturally funny to begin with. 😂
Rest in power Patrice O’Neal.
I bet Questlove asked them to play creep at his entry coz of patrice's take on the song "Creep" and he had also mentioned how Questlove was one of his few famous fans...love patrice....love Questlove
1000% percent.
have you seen questloves live sets he been doing everyday in quarantine? on the roots youtube page.. mad vibes
@@dopeyjoe4822 will check it out thanks
Patrice was the shit man, his perspective and ability to articulate exactly what he was thinking was one of his many gifts. R.I.P.
Patrice was TOO real for TV. Way ahead of his time. Hate Jimmy cut his interview short idk why. This would be his last TV appearance before his death. RIP a Legend
Yeah, he even called him out for that.
jimmy is a creep
And Jimmy told him that he went over. Which he did.
"Elephant in the room" is on my Mount Rushmore of great specials: "Richard Pryor: Live At Sunset Strip", "Eddie Murphy: Delirious", "Dave Chappelle: For What It's Worth".
JIMMY HAD A REAL GENIUS IN FRONT OF HIM AND HE AND HIS AUDIENCE DIDN'T KNOW THAT GOD WAS BLESSING THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES
What a brilliant, brilliant mind. Miss you Patreeky.
I love that he's just playing for the band, not jimmy, not the audience, just him and the band
R.I.P. Patrice O'neal. Very underrated, very talented and very funny. He's funnier than the comedians today. His style is unmatched.
Patrica was one of the funniest ever to walk this earth, smart af, and no one kept it realer than him
*more real.
One of the most remarkable, live television performances of all time. Every piece of this was a bit portrayed by Patrice. Established himself as one of my top 5 comics
Damn, I miss you Patreeky!
"It was good to be alive to see it"

"It was.." jimmys response though fellow detective.
One of the greatest gifts I find tonight, is after 10 years of listening to every bit of Patrice content that I find something new today.
Thank you.
Also I was nearly dying from the moment they played that Radiohead song all the way through. I absolutely miss this guy.
im afraid of the day i run out of his content but honestly ill start all over again truly a legend rest in power
They couldn't handle him and cut him early. lol I thought he showed amazing restraint when he joked about sexual harassment day. LMAO
So much restraint for Patrice
Patrice is a real man, he even called him out on it but made it funny so they laughed it off and shook at the end.
He went longer than 6 minutes.. So they did not. It just went by really fast. He wasn't used to TV and more to radio where he can go on for longer and not be so rushed.
I miss him so much! The most honest guy that ever stood on a comedy stage. The hours of content of him on Opie & Anthony really highlights his sageness. 2020 misses you, Patrice!
Introducing him to Creep was a fucking hilarious touch. Props to the production team
Patrice is my absolute favorite comedian. I've been a fan for 5-6 years and i'm just now finding this video
Thanks for uploading this! Surprisingly gave me new respect for Fallon
You can see here hes not over laughing a crazy amount either. Im not sure why he started doing that so much once he got the tonite show.
Made me sad to be honest. Patrice would never be on Fallon's show in 2020. The last 5 years has been hell for humour.
Well no one not even fallon had issues when jimmy had this middle gig.
It's cus nbc managment how they fuck over ppl with the uncertainty plus the legendary Carson gig is what turned jimmy into a nervous excited fucking loser he is now
Never saw this before .. finding new Patrice stuff is one hell of a treat. Awesome dude and even better comedian. Sorely missed
Rip patrice! He won that crowd over so smoothly lmao the transition was seamless
He came out to “Creep” 😂😂😂 there’s a clip of him analyzing the song which makes it hilarious 💀
Patrice got Quest love dying back there
Patrice O'neal is the literal antithesis of Jimmy Fallon.
That's why this is so funny to watch.
Why are so many people dunking on Fallon in these comments? Fallon is the one that had Patrice on his show, doesn't that count for something?
@@tasman001 he's just easybto hate. Personally I like his show and shit this segment
@@tasman001 Plus Patrice really gave him props in this interview, which was really cool to see. Imagine how good that must've felt from someone who's such a notorious, merciless ball buster to just build you up on national TV like that.
I thought I watched everything Patrice, 1st time seeing this. It's good to see how he won over a crowd that shouldn't like him. THANK YOU UXNOSIDDA. I'll subscribe just because.
LOL Patrice hilariously deconstructed that Radio Head song Creep they played in the beginning on the radio. Maybe he asked for that song. By the way, thanks for the upload, untill now I had only seen a shorter version of this interview.
That one part speaks to white people in such a way hahahahaha
I'm sure he chose the song, he called himself a fuckin creep all the time. I remember that one Brazil story about some drunk chick pissing by the side of the curb and even lil jimmy was creeped out how much Patrice enjoyed it
No Patrice said that QuestLove heard that Creep bit on the radio in San Francisco when Patrice was on the air. Patrice was super proud that Quest was a true fan

A Kim excellent recall Mr. Kim. The video you are speaking about is a cover of Creep by Homeless Mustard- m.czcams.com/video/hXlzci1rKNM/video.html
Yeah theres no way that was a coincidence.
The interview was supposed to be much longer, but Jimmy felt uncomfortable having Patrice say what he said and dominating the entire conversation.
He didn't get to do enough of his bullshit fake laughs cause Patrice would've called him out on that nonsense and fucked his reputation up.
You can see how surprised Patrice was at the end with Fallon ending the interview, he knew Jimmy was uncomfortable and that cracked Patrice up!
RIP, Mr. P. You saved a bunch of people with your advice, and we'll all continue coming back to you here on CZcams to keep your legacy alive.
I actually think Patrice had enough social intelligence not to call out Jimmy on the air like that. He knew when to lay it on but I doubt he would shame a fellow talk show host like that
@@KingBowserVlog i agree, hes a smart guy. he knew just gave him some shit on the side there, but he got it.
He only had 6 minutes allotted and Jimmy made sure they didn't go over 1 second more. That's why Patrice was like 6 minutes already??
@@troyrichardson8787 Oh, really? I just felt like other guests get a much longer interview time and Patrice got rushed. But it's good to know that wasn't the case.
@@Majystic17 He did rush him in the sense that he wasn't going to give him anymore that what was allotted. More of a way out than anything

Patrice really just took over the whole thing while he was there, what a strong presence
RIP PATRICE THE GOAT
We need you now more than ever.
He owned that room. Jimmy was thinking censors, the whole time while his producer sweated bullets.
Patrice hated mainstream viewers because the lacked substance.
GREATEST comic mind ever. Gone way too soon. Brilliant. Naturally funny. 💯 honest. Never pretended to be what he wasn’t. Never launched into rehearsed bits. Never latched onto whatever was popular or trendy.
Great upload. i'd never seen that full clip like that before
Thanks man
Thanks for uploading this. Patrice, a rare unbridled comedy genius. Love and Light Patrice, thanks for all the joy and laughs and thought provoking... provoking- You are a Legend to us lucky few in the know!
Damn wish he was still here today, especially with the way the world is now, would be nice to hear someone who spoke with honesty and fearlessness. Sad he left just months after this. R.i.p
Patrice is not only one of the greatest comedians of all time but is also one of the most intellectual philosophers of the past few generations and deserves to go down in history as one of the most important human beings of the century.
Thank you for this!!!! I never seen the whole interview just the small clips of this interview!!! I’m the biggest Patrice O’Neal Fan!!!!! 🙏 thank u my friend!!!
I love they played “creep” when he walked out lmfao. RIP Patrice.

No way he hates you. He had best comic friends that were white. He'd hate your whiteness lol, but not you
If you haven't heard of "black phillip" look it up.
A lot of his friends were white, he just liked to get a rise of people that did not know him.
Fallon always has that “oh shit, what’s he gonna say” face, whenever he interviews standup comedians. 😁 Same with his Bill Burr interviews.
Damn yo... I wish I had known this guy while he was alive. Hes a legend legend legend
Me too
2021...still watching this! How many watch this clip more than once?! My favorite comedian of all time!
Having Patrice on a "regular" tv show was phenomenal! Should have been entire show. So fun having a bunch of folks in audience who had NO idea who Patrice was & then experience him! Must have blown their minds!
"Was that early?"
"That was from the back."
BRO Patrice is a genius. He is talking about the inclusion of all minorities in Jimmy Fallon's show, which is exactly at the crux of the current social movement in media. A lot of people think he tends to support conservative view points (at least on the internet) but he does what he believes is right regardless of political leanings.. One of a kind
