Fun fact Left Eye was from Philly not from Atlanta. Thats why they ended up broke messing with Pebbles. Tionne suffered with sickle cell bad. You have to understand it was a different time. Lisa wanted to heal by going to Honduras. But,She also was upset because she wanted the group to go in the direction she wanted. And she wanted to be the lead. She wanted to really be a solo artist. She let people get in her ear. This movie bothered me it bought back bad memories. Good movie though.
Another fun fact T boz is actually from des moines Iowa not ATL
TLC was my favorite group growing up. Lil mama had moments of freaking me out.

Knowing what I know now, they DEFINITELY got screwed over under Pebbles. They were signed to a 360 deal and nearly ALL revenue went back to the label. They (TLC) had to split 7% THREE ways while the remaining 93% immediately went back to the label (and even a percentage of the 7% for the group members). Being that Left Eye came up with the titles and concepts of all of their albums (and cast aside when it came to everything else), it was understandable why she “acted out” the way that she did. I just know once she was gone [permanently], “TLC” was over.
It personally hits close to home for me because like Left Eye, my mother’s name was “Lisa” and she was a Gemini like Left Eye was. They both had rebellious souls, but they loved hard and did so much for others. Ironically enough, Left Eye passed at 30 and my mother passed at 60.
That’s why it hurts my hurt the way this group went. They took over the world. Money causes lots problems. Especially when greedy people are behind it. And I’m sorry for your loss hun. Sending light and peace your way
Their documentary “TLC FOREVER,” executive produced by T-Boz & Chilli, will be available for streaming later this month on Netflix. It goes into a little more depth than the film. Might make for a good reaction video.

I remember watching this movie with my favorite cousin and it became our thing to watch together. We could get on the couch and watch it laying on each other and would hug and cry when the ending came because our bond was just like theirs. We were sisters 💕

In a documentary from Chilli, she says the reason she stayed with Dallas so long was cause she chose to abort his child at 20 for her career and felt a lot of guilt. So she became determined to have another baby by him to replace the one she aborted.
Basically trauma bonding mixed with guilt.
i didnt know if this movie was gonna do TLC any justice at 1st but when i watched it hits HARD. the casting was great and i could watch it over and over.

Yeah they pulled the same trick when it came to the money, they got them the cars and the house but what they don't tell you is that TLC was paying for it from their own money which the record company "deducts" leaving TLC with nothing. Its a scam that they do on black artists and the worst thing is that its our own that does it to them where before it was the other people.

I had so much love for the group and Lisa, I couldn't watch this until last year! I think it's flawed that this doesn't include Pebble's, or unfortunately, Lisa's perspective. From interviews, a lot of stories got left out of this, they probably need a 8 to 12 episode series to tell the whole story.
Not releasing Lisa's solo album in the US was foul asf, and not investing more in the production quality was foul too.
Clive Davis doesn't get enough heat for how many problems his greedy ass caused. The night 2Pac got robbed and shot, the night that started the beef with Biggie, 2Pac was only there because he needed the money, and the opps (a drug dealer who financed some rappers) was there with Diddy because Diddy needed the money. If everybody was paid better, Biggie and 2Pac might still be here.
