  • Hey guys we are back and today I tell you about the school I picked for my kids in September. My great landlord forwarded me info for 2 schools that would work for my kids and I picked KGS in Rabat. It is a British school with the Cambridge curriculum they will have both French and Arabic lessons but the only language that needs to be tested is in English. In this video I tell you the costs associated with attending. We also try Raib and sandwiches. Enjoy! ❤️🇲🇦

In Casablanca, the American School and George Washington Academy both charge $15,000 per year per child The American School costs even more, at over $15,000 annually. However, the Cambridge School in Tangier offers a more affordable option. My children pursued the International Baccalaureate (IB) in UAE and NL French schools in Morocco are also excellent choices. Good luck ..
You can make money offering English classes to other kids or teach there .

    Kahlil Gibran's most famous poem:
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The school is costly but it's a very nice one, located in a posh area of Rabat. It's a private school and if it's within your budget, it's a good choice. I would still attempt to negotiate with the school to save some money, especially for two children. They will pick up Moroccan quickly once they start school and will make many friends. I wish you all the best.

I hope they can teach them Arabic and French. The issue is they still have make their HS diploma equivalent to the one in USA in case if they decide to attend university in US. It's not hard because I got my HS in Morocco and I did equivalent transfer to Bellevue University here in Nebraska. But if the kids decide to get their PHd in a Engineering or doctors they may not bee able to practice these career in US unless if they want to live and work in Morocco.

School is quite pricey TBH, I had not idea you could pay that much for primary schools in Morocco. I went to a private school as a kid, I remember my parents paid like $50 monthly or smth. Yours costs more than some institutions of higher education. Hope they'll like their new school. Well they better do lol

    • @momof4vlogs

It’s because it teaches in English that’s why so much. The Moroccan private schools are cheaper but they only give lessons in English not teach in English

Have you checked out the Rabat American School? It's run by Americans. High-quality education, great teachers, lovely facilities, and would allow your kids to study from primary to upper secondary school. Your kids would be friends with both kids from all over the world (which is always an asset) and have all the typical American school experiences, if that's something you'd want for them. KGS may be more British inclined, in terms of culture, although they may also be more affordable (not sure).

Hi I have a few questions, I'm in the UK but I'm moroccan, I want to start a family in morocco and get my kids into a private school like that in the future. Is it 15k for BOTH your kids or 15k each? Also I saw another comment you made earlier saying public school is for moroccans not foreigners. Do you think that Moroccans (my kids) who will be born and raised in Morocco would be suitable for private school? Like does the private school cater to kids who are moroccan and won't understand much english at that point or is it only for foreigners like americans etc. Thanks

It's for both kids. By the time your kids are old enough to enroll in these schools, the tuition fee might be even higher (and will get higher with each passing year/grade) There are many, many private schools (french, spanish, english, american) and you don't have to be a foreigner to enroll. You just have to secure a spot and be able to afford it. These days local kids learn english in kindergarten or through summer camps/schools to maximize their chances of getting in. These schools are in very high demand, so some of them have tests and waiting lists. There are also private moroccan schools which are slightly better than the public school system. You don't have to speak english to attend those, only arabic & french.
