The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

It's 1983 but he's doing some very 70's moves. It's like he was stuck in one style music mode. In the 80s music taste had drastically changed.

In '83 music was changing at a rapid pace departing from the 70s disco Era. Here he was trying to make it something a little new again. I love the energy he has in this performance. I hope we all try to remember him like this. Such a great talent.

You can tell he was on blow the way he BLEW-THREW this rendition. 'Just Want to Be Your Everything' studio version, is about twice as long. It's supposed to be very-slow. WOW. This was actually around when Andy hosted one of the biggest Hits at the Time; America's very Own, 'SOLID GOLD.'
It’s scratchy, powerful sound is a real added value.
I can hardly believe how long he has been gone, he is magnificent. Its so unfair he died so young.
That's raw talent, a great performance and performer, he sadly died far too young, but his music will live forever
Great singer… at this year he was already suffering the effect of drug abuse in his career… very clear for whom followed his career that this was not his best performance at all… really sorry that the world lost a big talent like him due to the pressure o f the showbiz and drugs abuse…

This band slaps. The rhythm is so tight, the bass player, guitarist, drummer, and Rhodes player are all locked in and grooving so hard. Back up singers are pitch perfect and Andy knows his range incredibly well as he confidentially goes up and down the key. super underrated singer.

He really found his voice right here, it was so mature in this performance. It's so incredible how performance can put on a face that hides their suffering. You would have never known by this performance that in less than 5 years after this performance he would no longer be with us, he seemed so happy. ♥
I disagree . In my humble opinion he is staying on the low register due to losing his voice. You can hear the strain in his voice.

8/20/20 Andy died of a broken heart every one left him. I still LOVE Andy and his music
Everyone didn’t leave him. His addiction took over him. His family was with him. It was a decade long battle. He died of myocarditis and since his heart was weakened from his cocaine usage. I just wish he would have had an opportunity to forge a relationship with his daughter. Very tragic loss.

Andy Gibb had it all, yet, when you watch him sing, you can see the pain in his eyes is obvious.
Loving someone so deeply should be the best blessing anyone can have, yet, when the person you
love is no longer in your life and have moved on, the person left behind generally will never be able
to do the same.
Eventhough they had a 15 month relationship, it is so obvious Andy loved Victoria Principal much
deeper than most of us will ever experience or understand, and that connection is something he knew
he would never experience with anyone else. Just watching these videos, including the duets he sang
with the likes of Olivia Newton-John and Marie Osmond you can see the look in his eyes.
The pain is so evident, and you can tell he is longing for what he knew he could never have.
If anyone pays attention to the lyrics of this song, his own words tell you how he truly feels - it is just
sad that Victoria felt she couldn't be the one to save Andy, and I have often wondered if she had stayed,
whether he may still be alive today.
