This song brings tears to my eyes every time. My husband stayed when my mental health was so severe I begged him to leave. I’ve been in so many hospitals I felt it wasn’t right for anyone to go through it with me. So if anyone knows what this song is about please say a prayer for anyone going through this. It’s been 5 years now since I was found hanging myself in a closet. Please have patience with anyone that has mental health problems. Please don’t judge by reading this instead understanding I was tired of this world & ready to leave I continue to need help everyday. This song has such deep meaning… 💜
One the references I believe, is that the singer suffers from Bipolar (so do I), and this is in relation to his relationships with family and stuff I relate this song, to my parents. As they broke up My father also has Bipolar, and schizophrenia. He and my mother were going through a bad time, and ultimately chose to end it. But we're all in so much better spaces, and time has healed some wounds

I love Blue October for these reasons, aside from sounding amazing, it's so personal and honest.. But I guess it has to do with the fact that these songs weren't written to just make a song to sell, but just through him, for him.

agreed. i was surprised tht blue sand into the ocean. it is so calming to the rest of their songs espicially compared to hate me cuz into the ocean is so calming yet hate me is so, how do i put it? Intense. as with all their songs about making break throughs and realizing what the right thing is. while into the ocean is more, is just, well, the exact opposite.
