#Skateboarding #Podcast #Interview - Zábava
This episode truly shows how much Kelly Hart knows his roots and still gets hype to talk about it.. He remembers all the dope shit from back in the day to ask all the guests yall bring on.. Big up 9 Club!!!..
5:20 wtf is up lol
@@AlexG1020 lol dude was glowing like an angel
I can see this one rockin in Kansas
That guitar sstarts strumming then.he jumps a speedbump with a moped lol
He don't quite know what to do with 'is hands, and theres somethin' iffy goin ' on around here
never understood the Kansas joke
best video of all time
@@furleysbrain think it might be a reference to when the Sex Pistols played that infamous show in Kansas and walked off stage after playing like half a song
I love how much Kelly is fanning out on Mark, like it's clear how psyched he is that Appleyard is the guest. Love it.
Appleyard, Arto and Rowley. The illest squad EVER
Penny
Ali and Bastien
Agreed! They had the sickest team.
@@phillychild122rue! the whole squad was dope, lets not pick favorites.
@@villiantwo True . All star squad all of em! The Old Flip took the US by storm in mid 90s and produced such rad skaters. My favs are Penny Arto and Bastien probably. I loved Ali's obscure style a lot bit his personality is just so inviting. And then there's Geoff's grit and gnarlyness and Appleyard's prime was phenomenal
This was personally my favourite episode. I grew up watching Mark come up and hit the scene; I was even lucky enough to see him skate live at a local park. Watching him flow around the park was like watching a video game with some of the tricks he was pulling of and it was an incredibly humbling experience. This guy is a true raw talent and skates with such style its almost unexplainable. This interview just made it that much easier to like him. Skateboarding, to me, is the most incredible "sub-culture"/ culture ever. No where will you find such a mix of interesting people, so many personal stories of success/failure/success, raw unfathomable athleticism and the raddest style all bunched into one. Thank you Mark for sharing your stories with us and thank you Crob, Roger, and Kelly for bringing this to us. I am 31 and a working professional now but this show and the stories I hear make me realize how much I relate and still connect to skateboarding and all the people who are drawn to it. Keep up the great work guys!
Well said and well spoken. Couldn't agree more
same age as you and must have grown up skating at the same time. Totally agree with your comment. Live well dude
Reynolds, Sal, and Appleyard.
three of my favorite skaters growing up, and now 3 of my favorite episodes.
good shit.
This show is so chill and laid back. Perfect to watch late at night
Exactly what I'm doing now and you're right my friend!
Mark Appleyard's Sorry and Really Sorry parts are some of my all-time favorites. One of the first videos I saw as a middle schooler 11 years ago
Yup, remember that Kickflip over the trashcan right in the beginning of his "Sorry" part? I mean it's just a kickflip, but daaamn that stuck to my brain.
it's crazy hearing people say stuff like that the first video I ever saw was Shortys fulfill the dream when I was in middle school I'm 32 now
I like over the rail to the bank one. Just perfect. Simple tricks done with style are the best.
if your song isn't good and your style is ass it doesn't matter how big or how tech you go.
Fel. Den every me and every yoooouuu
18:46 "if a board of boxes came" - crob 2017
haha
VLSkate lol
LOL
It's going to be three years man since this comment was made mark appleyard it's a legend.
Love hearing the whole life story of pro skaters. It's often humble beginnings, to the rockstar life, then the crash, then the comeback.
Flip's Sorry vid was and still is greatness! Me & my buds would watch it every time before going out to skate to get hyped
Mark Appleyard is the man! One of the best to ever do it, such a unique and smooth style! He's one of the few that makes it look too easy
HOHAHAA!!!! The moment Roger had to brace CRob when they brought up kelly's fakie tre manual is too good!! haha! GREAT EPISODE. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.
Appleyard has been in rotating around in my top 10 favorite skaters since 2001. He's never left that top 10. Sickest style to ever step on a skateboard, period......he's not the best story teller though. haha
"Yeah man I just.....fuckin.....shit.....ya know....shit I forgot how I got on Circa...but yeah man....fuck." LOL
Only thing better than Kelly showing love like he does, is a living legend showing even more back his way... show rules gents, keeping me plugged into skating 15 years after I stopped...
TOM PENNY PLEASE!!!
His opening part on Sorry is what got me hooked on skating and I have been ever since
We need Arto !
I learned how to tre flip from watching appleyards. Still do em to this day with my feet super close together like that, thats the best way to get em high and to stay right under you. Thanks Apples...
all these years I thought it was some off-camera homie who yelled "fuck yeah!"... now I know the truth. thanks, nine club!
This dude, a special special special guest.
really and how do you call him special
Such a chill, positive dude. It's no wonder his shoes are named Mahalo. 🤙🏽
...no mention of shell park?! skated there in 98-99 nuff times. glad ya made it.
21:09 "I love how Kelly and Roger know more than the guest sometimes". No kidding. This show is a fountain of knowledge and especially Roger, he does not flaunt it. Again, thank you all @ the 9!
I was moments from kicking away the chair, but then I heard the notification sound on my phone. I decided to look at it. I saw a new Nine club episode was on CZcams and not just any episode, but Mark fucking Appleyard so I took off the rope from around my neck, sat on my couch and watched this fine episode.
Appleyard probably was the first dude that I saw using shoe laces as belt.
Pier Lenci Yo youre right. Either him or Bastien
hey! maybe Salabanzi was the first one to buy the idea...when Appleyard used ride for Circa he had a signature jeans which came with two laces in a little bag attached to it...so I guess it was his trademark kind of
did it in the 90s too. i think it was just natural for many people to do that
can confirm, laces didn't even catch on till late 00's
nego gato ha me too
Love Appleyard
I'll never forget watching Appleyard 360 flip crook across the pyramid and down the A ledge at Southside in houston back in like 2006 at a volcom demo.
i enjoyed this episode a bunch. that drawing was hilarious too
Gotta get the ed Templeton on the show soon !
That Mark Appleyard drawing ...hahaha! Make that into a tee and I'd buy it.
I want trainwreck to make a rare appearance good shit nine club!!
Thatd be EPIC
hell yeah would love a trainwreck episode
loldude334 hell yea! I loved him in In Bloom! Last time I saw him in an interview was weekend buzz but I feel like we didn't go hear much
On a roll with the OG's. I like the new wave of skateboarders but I love listening to the guys I used to watch for inspiration
All Smiles! Good chat, art, history, friendship. Looking forward to NEW parts / film projects from all you cats.
Yet another great episode. I have way too many requests for who I want to see on the show... Jim Thiebaud, Muska, Arto, Brian Anderson, Busenitz, Ellington, Cardiel, PJ, Ronnie Creager, Bill Murray, Templeton, Penny Etc.
2 yrs later brian Anderson's is now on.
About to go to bed and the notification pops up. No sleep tonight boys.
LOL, Same.
Tyler Kile I listen to these when I'm trying to sleep haha
This is GOLDEN!
One of my favourite skaters. im not going to lie: My childhood hero. One of the reasons I kept skating this long! Girls loved him and the guys wanted to be like him. Mark Appleyard!
Hope you can get Ryan Gallant on the show. After that I could die in peace.
Props to the nine club and especially to Kelly Hart for knowing his shit and asking thosoe good questions!
Please get Chris Roberts on the show! Want to here the story about sw flip manual..
I remember getting Marks first Globe Shoe. They were incredibly long lasting with no signs of slowing down. Truly a legend of the skate scene.
Fucking love Appleyard and the nine club! Much love guys
Couldn't have made me happier. This show is amazing. Thank you!
Couldn't wait for this one!!
Best dude, best style.
Get Gonz on here! Amazing show always
Remember seeing him sk8 Shell Park Burlington!! way back in the day. $$ episode

Catching up on old episodes. This one is fire 🔥🔥
Mark Appleyard..man,love this guy! Thanks guys!
Great episode! Mark is definitely an inspiration with his smooth style, innovation, and cool attitude. Good to see him still putting it down!
You guys keep killing it very week. it make my Tuesday at work that much better. lots of love from Australia keep it up boiizzzz
So true about the impact that Sorry had back then. Pre internet video all we had was our collection of VHS tapes to watch over and over. I must have watched that video easily over 100 times that year and always watched Appleyard's part for sure because it was right at the beginning. That part is burned into my mind forever.
This man was my inspiration. I also grew up less than an hour from where he did so i have love for a fellow Canuck. His skating speaks for itself, trick selection and style, amazing. Great episode!
Mark: “Yeah… yeah, yeah yeah yeah….yeah, yeah….yeah” hahaha
All Mark’s awesomeness shines through in this interview, such a rad altruistic dude.
Extremley Sorry was my favorite Appleyard part as well
Legendary! We love you Mark!!
It's cool to see Kelly & Mark fanning out on each other!! You can tell theres a lot of mutual respect going on here!! Great Episode !! \m/
I know he's camera shy, but a Julien Stranger episode would be the best.
Jack Shaw fuuuuk man that'd be so cool.
Idol!
Many hours spent watching Mark's skating
Have a Nine Club party at the end of the year and have all the guests from that year come out. Would love to see Mark's art on a Nine Club shirt too!
Mark reminds me a lot of Mitch Hedberg and I love it.
Flip sorry was one of the first vids i saw, watched it everyday, Apps youre the man!!!
ey Chris I had to pause this video cuz I got touchy and teary eyeded when Mark gave u guys gifts man Mark Appleyard is a blessing to watch having fun on his skateboard... plus Kelly Hart is a beast he's fucking good and well u all u do is nosegrinds...... tehehe chocolate for life ese
I grew up in Burlington and in 7th Grade or so a bunch of friends met his mom. They came back to school after lunch and had all these stickers and were bouncing off the walls! Was probably 2003/2004. Crazy hearing him talking about Beasley as well, my local park. Anyone else from Hamilton watching this!?
awesome to see how hyped he was on the show. what a good guy.
Man, the line-up lately has been solid!
I'm gonna have to smoke a bowl of el chapo, la connection, kief and moonrocks to prepare for this one. Best podcast to listen to when smoking 😤🚬💯🌲
so solid

Best part of my Monday!

That Flip video was so amazing, remember watching it before going to skate to get hyped.
I think this is my favorite episode, it was funny, emotional, mature, ridiculous it was everything really.

Damn, this is great - really miss the Sorry/Really Sorry days
placebo song was the best .i would listen to it every time before a skate session. Mark Appleyard is the man
Ha so glad Mark brought up the tre flip in photosynthesis. Everyone used to make fun of it back in the day. but it made the line super memorable and the whole part is rad. still one of my favorite vids ever.
