  • The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security honored four Ukrainian women doing extraordinary work to fight for democracy, defend human rights, and seek justice for crimes against humanity at the 2022 Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards. In this video, Nobel Peace Prize winner Oleksandra Matviychuk, Natalia Karbowska, and Kateryna Levchenko speak out about conflict-related sexual violence, documentation of war crimes, and women’s role in defending Ukraine, after Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
    "We often see women only as victims, and this prevents us from seeing them as a solution," said Natalia Karbowska, Director of Strategic Development of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund.
