Knock Sensor Testing GOOD tip

  • 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0 knock sensor error P0327 and P0332 troubleshooting. It was supposedly a new AC Delco 213-3521 but was probably a fake that I bought on eBay. I use a meter to measure the AC voltage and test it.

    Everywhere you read when dealing with ls engines they'll say use only ac delco. Those ac delcos are as bad junk as any of the rest of em. The best way is what you just showed before you put em in. Another thing is get a 10mm 1.5 nut and put it on the threads and put it in a vice and set a tourqe wrench to 15ft. Lbs. And while in the vice tourqe it and see if the center spins inside the body of the sensor before the tourqe spec is met. If it does take it back or throw it in the trash can.

    Great video, thanks for the tip! PS: after some research it seems that it may not be a knockoff ACDelco but it seems the crystals inside these are quite fragile and break during shipping.

    I have a 89 cavalier z24 replaced the knock sensor and it’s setting a code 43 (knock sensor code) its retarding my timing 30 percent?? Is my new sensor to sensitive?
