LMAO!!! Where's this type of comedy today? Nothing on these modern shows are this timelessly funny. They take themselves way too seriously. Michael J Fox was an actor who could do anything! Hilarious comedy he's the man, deep emotional drama he's the man etc.I hate how Parkinsons got in the way because he still could've been thriving. You could tell the writers had a ball writing this and Fox had a ball doing it! We need this kind of show these days
@@kendallrivers1119 tv today is so monotonous. It's full of nonsense. I'm watching the Family Ties DVDs at the moment. Will be obtaining Spin City DVDs soon. Nothing like that on tv now
I didn't catch every episode of FT back in the day but ones I did catch,it was easy to see Michael J Fox stood out head & shoulders.Incredible talent.Ahead of his time.
@@jenniferhansen3622 if fact, this funny dance that Fox did was like a cross between Jack Tripper and Curly from three stooges so Fox probably learned those moves and made it funny on his own
@@adamquiles2468 - that is a very interesting connection. I never actually thought of Michael J. Fox as someone who did physical comedy as John Ritter was so famous for doing. But seeing him in this scene - he cracks me up.
Every time I watch this scene, I wrench my stomach muscles.. I also love the scene afterwards, where he tells his parents how he embarrassed himself, his friends and the audience etc. and his dad says ~ "Alex ... this can happen." PS: The bloopers for this one are for sure hilarious!
Whenever I see MJF, even post Doc Hollywood, I think of that scene in Hook when Pockets squishes his face and says, "There you are Peter!" Deep down he'll always be the same guy. #APKForever. 🙏🏻
That was the funniest shit I've ever seen, omg 🤣. If any of y'all watched Good Luck Charlie, it reminded me of how Teddy can't dance. Something Alex and Teddy have in common 🤣🤣
Reminds me of Alex P. Keaton's ballet routine on Family Ties. Only he didn't perform it at The Olympics. That's the difference. I don't think The Olympics should be made a mockery of.
(Ellen rushes up to Alex who is flat on the floor) Ellen: "Alex, are you okay?" Alex (raising his head). "I'm fine. For my next number..." (He falls back flat again) 😂😂😂
LOL.. Those were the same moves he used in Back to the Future when Marty was playing guitar at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.
what move are you talking about? The jumping??
@@miria5397 The one with his leg out.
@@osaji922 it’s called the Duck Walk. It was made famous by Chuck Berry.
*jes*
I thought the same!! 😂
I wish Alex had visited my history class when we learned about the Great Depression.
haha
He would make the Great Depression less depressing.
This had me on the floor laughing when it first aired. Probably my favorite episode of the show. It still makes me laugh whenever I think about it.
I've never seen the crash of 1929 expressed with such feeling, I cried.
Michael J. Fox is phenomenal.
it was funnier then because of the context. he was one of the biggest stars in the world making a fool of himself for a woman, as men do.
Especially because his future wife is watching him too 🤣

In his own way, he is still thriving, but in a different way. The new book he's written is amazing! I didn't want it to end.
@@jenpeterson3712 Very true. I just wish he could still be all over the screen like he used to. The big and small screen needs him desperately!

later that night...
Ellen:
I've never had anybody care so much about me that they were willing to make a complete fool of themselves to show it...
He didn't really like that comment, then he said "what about the somersault"?
Alex's attempt to impress Ellen to show he is interested in what she is passionate about .... goes very wrong. I was dying of laughter 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣
Love the Marty McFly/ Chuck Berry duck walk.
Michael J Fox and John Ritter: two of the greatest sitcom stars ever

@@SquiggyGirlForever MJF did a lot of physical comedy. Even in the Back To The Future films, his slapstick was on display.
"well you see at this point in the dance the stock market is still good"

Michael J. Fox shows his dedication, not afraid to look foolish in order to get laughs.
Omg this is funnier than I remembered
My friend and I almost passed out from laughter when Alex started his dance!
he's very funny in this scene lol
Me too
Remember crying 😂😂😂 over this how many years ago? Love from the Netherlands x
Bless him. I had a HUGE crush on him in this show
I love this
Marty Mcfly wow that was so hilarious hahahahaha I feel like fainting but I don't know how people do that though!???.....
I remember laughing so hard at this almost as loud as when I first saw his Richard Nixon lunchbox. This dance is right up there with the Snoopy Dance.

It's called "Don't Go Changing" (Season 4; episode 9).
But why the stock market crash?
Alex was always into money & financial stuff !!
Pipsta@ Margin borrowing (buying stocks on credit), over-consumption and a high level in the unequal distribution of wealth.
We’re about to find out all over again.
