    The snack is such a good yoyo. I got one the other day

    You've got to try the Hummingbird Mini! I've not had as much experience with mini yoyos as you. I've had a heist which felt a bit like a gadget. I've got a Sputnik which is incredible but not that small... The Hummingbird mini is a great size, not minuscule but definitely small and plays amazingly!!

    The Magic yoyo N8 and The Magic yoyo T5 and T6 and infinity yoyo voodoo are quite good

      I recently got an N8 and I agree. It's pretty good. The others you mention I haven't tried yet.

      I definenetly recommend the T6 as it is meant to be very similar to the yyf 888 and has a nice shape for tech and the T5 has a good shape and some great colours as well as it being a great all rounder.
      Both are fairly cheap under 15 and are great to take around anywhere. 😁

      It really is a fun little throw. Not very powerfull but just a lot of cool options with it.

    For me, the most important thing in these pocket yoyos is having a size C bearing slot; it's quite hard to find spare size D bearings (and since we're talking about pocket yoyos, rust is a common issue for me at least. I've changed 2 times the bearing on my Kun yoyo)

    • @lxemergency
      @lxemergency  Před 11 měsíci

      Yeah I also prefer standards parts in general. In some cases the yoyos are so small that a C bearing is not an option really. But in always pleasantly surprised then a smaller yoyo has one.

    Do you have any suggestions for a cheaper more readily available yoyo like the lagrange? It seems like a great balance between compact size and spin time.

    • @lxemergency
      @lxemergency  Před 9 měsíci

      I don't think there's anything out there like the Lagrange at a lower price at the moment.
      HOWEVER!~My buddy Arc1 (maker of the Gemstones) is coming out with a new small yoyo. I got to buy a prototype off him....and it's amazing. Think pocketsized iYoyo Iceberg. It'll be under $100 when it comes out probably so that one is very much worth waiting for for a little bit.

    Hi Alexander, Concerning your Steel Shutter, do you use thinner string on it? I tried a slightly thicker string from the original and started getting the snagging problems you describe. With thinner string this goes away. If you can find it, 'Mighty flea' string is pretty thin. I could also send you a much better that stock bearing but I'm not sure how to make contact off of CZcams? I'm in France...

    • @lxemergency
      @lxemergency  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi there, I would use Lathed Back Design thin string on it which is indeed slightly thinner. But the problems never really completely disappeared.
      I actually put in a better bearing at some time but that didn't completely solve the problem either. I ended up selling it in the end. So thank you for the offer but it's not really needed. Truly appreciate the offer though thanks for watching as well.

    Would you say that the T9 and snack are similar as they are both organic and a similar size 😀

      The T9 plays like a brick compared to the snack.

      I've recently also saw m acquired the N8 and it's a lot better than the T9 I think. I'd recommend that

    Did the end caps on the gemstone yo-yo give it anymore power, since they add a little weight?

    • @lxemergency
      @lxemergency  Před rokem

      I've only tried the spin top caps. But they seem to make the yoyo a little less stable. Too much weight near the axle I suspect. I still max to try the other caps. But it's actually quite good for a mini without caps.

      @@alfredjessee4797 You're very welcome. Thanks for watching. Good choice. I really think Iceberg is one of the best performing yoyos around for an actually pretty friendly price.

      @alfredjessee4797 Před rokem

      @@lxemergency I have only been yo-yoing for a little under 3 months, but the iceberg is my favorite yo-yo. I just wanted a more pocket friendly version and I was thinking the gemstones might fit the bill since it is a plastic yo-yo with metal rings.

    • @lxemergency
      @lxemergency  Před rokem +1

      @@alfredjessee4797 While I do like my Gemstones....they're nowhere NEAR the power, spin time and stability of the Iceberg.
      If that's what you're looking for in a pocket yoyo look at something else. You could try the Steel Shutter for that. It's actually smaller than Gemstones and has better spin times.
      If you want the best fingerspin mini...then I'd reccommend the Gemstones. But fingerspins are the only way in which they're my favorite.
