5 hours ago my father died for a fulminant heart attack, he was in good health, I know this band and I knew this song but I never expected to listen it for this horrible reason, NEVER. My father now is in his bed resting in peace. we are waiting for the doctor to declare this tragedy. I can t watch him cold, I can t stop crying. He is only 56 years old, he is a guitarist, a singer, a worker, a husband, a brother, a friend and of course The best father in the world. Rest in peace Pepito. Te quiero mucho, tu hijo metalero que te amara para siempre.

Thanksgiving day 1990 I lost my dad to cancer. I was 23 My first born was due in January. He tried so hard to hang around till then but his body wouldn’t let him. I was helping him in the bathroom that morning and when I helped him to stand up from the toilet he grabbed me tight and hugged me for the first time since I was a little boy. No words, just a long hug. He passed on about three hours later. His only sons first son was born a month later on Christmas a month early premature. Two dates I shall remember forever. Miss you dad

My whole life has just changed, and the first song that I get on my playlists to try and find some peace...is this song. And I remember asking my old man to listen to this song; he did, and he gave me a hug in tears...and said, "I love you kiddo."

He tells me about spending Christmas alone, he always gets emotional when we talk about it. I moved to live with my dad when i was 13 ( When i was old enough to realise how he must have felt) . Atleast now we've made up a few of the wasted years. im 17 now. Hope you're with your kids now! x
There's so many negative songs out there about dads, I'm glad this is here for those of us who had great fathers, like I had. Fathers Day coming in the UK on Sunday June 21, 2020. It'll be my first one without any kind of love from my son. He's taken to using drugs and seems to want my approval of his lifestyle, which of course i cannot give him. As a result he's not spoken to me for almost 3 months and has instead send abusive texts and painted me out to be a thorough monster, even though i raised him the best i could as a dad. Sad to watch this.
Hang in there. I don't know what he's on but, I got addicted to opiates back in 2013. I was a young dad at the time and it made me have an absolute breakdown when it hit me how far I had fallen. And I needed that because as long as I was able to cope, I was able to justify what I was doing to myself
I can't guarantee that he'll hit rock bottom but, if he does, he'll wake the hell up if he was raised right.

He knows I love him and miss him. On 7-26-17, I listened to this song all day at work for about 9 hours. I still love this song. Great song to help remember Dad.
I have this song in a playlist called for my kids. That I haven’t made public yet. It’s shared to only my kids and a few close friends with children. I can’t pick a single verse in this remix as I am a single father of 7 kids myself and every verse hits every aspect of my life. Remember kings were not as alone as we think we are. I haven't lost my dad yet, but the last 5 years I lost time with him. We both missed out on a lot of each other those 5 years all because of he said she said drama. We finally reconnected back in May and it was like we never lost touch. He may not be the perfect person, but he's my dad and I love him. Never let drama come between you and the ones you love.
