  • Hi friends! Welcome to Day 2 of my Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness week video series. In this video I share with you some really cool and super easy bookmark charms I made for my pain journal. Teal is the official color for TN so I wanted to make some specifically for TN Awareness as it is SO important to me.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this video and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 3 : )

I bought the same bead mix and they still have them years later. I'm new to beading and that was one of the first bead mixes I liked. I didn't know what all I wanted to do with them. Thanks for this video

Hi Abby ~~~~~Your Journal Bookmark Charms are so beautiful.....Love that you shared all of them and your tutorial was awesome......you really do have a great collection of beads, ribbons, cording.....etc...... and assortment of goodies to create them. Love your Bird cage charm..it's so cute..and the idea you came up with to create a bottom is genius....I know you've mentioned you like to fiddle with things and I do too....so to be able to fill it with the beads and play with it .shake, shake, shake was a great creative idea....and I too love that sound.. Thanks for sharing and it was fun watching you in creative action and to see your book charms come to life. Another fun Creative video done Abby style. When you mentioned at the end you could use them for whatever you like....a necklace came to mind....and then just loop the ends together at the neckline to drape and voila a charm necklace. Thanks again for sharing your Book Charm Tips, Tricks & Techniques, you are just so talented.
    YOU so ROCK!!

I love these and your videos. I hate that you are in daily pain. I have been too for over 5 years. Mine is from the waist down mostly. Lower back to feet. I have had both of my knees replaced during the last 2 months. Hopefully after they are fully healed in this next year the only pain I will have is from my back. There are several things wrong but its hard to pin point pain points when the pain is all over. Its hard to stay focused on things with so much pain and you are doing wonderful, beautiful things and I just wanted to say GOOD FOR YOU!!!!

Your bookmarks are sooooo adorable and look beautiful with your lavender journal notebook! It's such a good idea. I suffer with FibroM and feel for what you are going through. I'm a lavender girl, too, so your ideas have really inspired me. I spend a lot of time meditating and it absolutely helps, but there are days when I cannot do anything. Meds do not work for me. Thank you for sharing your story and ideas. I wish you the best of health and happiness, Abby.

Nice and relaxing. Waxing the end of your cording might help as well. They sell sewing wax at all the places you mentioned. Good job with helping other become aware of this condition.

Hi Abby. I love working with beads, or I used to. I have soooo many great memories of doing beadwork with my Mother and my sister. It used to bring me such creative joy. Your bookmark charms are really cool. I enjoyed your video a lot as it brought back some great memories. Have a great weekend. Today is Good Ftiday, 2017.

I was curious to know if you journal for the doctor? I too have experienced pain in other parts of my bod, but I never thought to ever journal it before. Also, if you stick your pokey tool in that knot you were making and hold the tip of it on the table, you can get the string to cinch up really close to the bead. Then pull the tool tip out just before you close the knot.

i have most of those exact beads and charms......even the eyeglass thingy....I have lifetime hydrocephalus...so several brain surgeries for shunts....I've also had shingles twice now...I have constant pain and nausea. thanks for sharing your story! I think having the pain journal section in the planner I'm making is a great idea. Thanks! and best wishes to you!

Hi Katherine : ) first let me say that I'm sorry to hear that you've had to endure multiple brain surgeries. I'm glad you liked the video and the idea of including a pain journal section in your planner. I have one I made dedicated solely to my pain, meds etc. but I like to have a section in my various planners so I always have a space to journal even when I'm out and about. Best wishes to you and thank you for watching and for sharing your journey with chronic pain as well : )

Try using some bees wax to drag your thread through to strengthen it before inserting in your beads. Old sewing trick.

Hi Arlene...Regretfully I don't know the size. I bought them from Michaels, they're the ones on the string. I put them into my bead organizer and tossed the tag. Thank you for watching : )
