I don't know if many people have noticed just how bad the tigers have been playing lately. Not only have they been losing a lot lately but the games they're wiinning they've squeaked by their opponet and even sometimes having a substantial lead and then they almost give it up. I think when the season is just about over the Tigers are going to end up being one of the worst teams in the league.
As a tigers fan, they very well could be. Bottom 20 in mlb for offense again, defense is horrendous and their top 6 for most errors and other then some of the starting pitching the bullpen has been beyond terrible which was a strength the last few seasons. Its also been a month since they've won two games in a row. Even when we started 5-0 to start the year, you can see some chips in the armor with the offense. They weren't exactly killing the ball, but getting a lot of timely hits and then they really cooled off in may. They're definite sellers at the deadline which will set them back a little bit for the season, but hopefully some pieces to come to help next year. Also hasn't helped that torkelson regressed this year, carpenter is hurt and probably out for the year. This team still has loads of dead weight like baddoo, mckinstry, urshela and baez. The deadline will be interesting. They have to do something to try to get some bats to help do something to push this team forward. Last year's deadline was a total flop. Definitely didn't expect somethings to go the way they have this year, but as hard as they are to watch their my squad.
