I was right when, out of all the great, wildly talented performers from Professor Chamorro's Academy, I claimed Elia was the greatest instrumentalist to date. Even Josep has to raise his lofty game.

You can praise Ms Bastida, but please! I was just listening to Grappelli in 1991 (How High the Moon), so he would have been around 83 years old. She has a long, long way to go! The lightness of his bow, the whimsy - no comparison.
I’m sure she would never dare write that herself.

@@brucekuehn4031 dear Bruce, with all due respect, his right hand was really not that great, let’s be honest. I saw him three times with Philipp Catherin and twice with other guitarists, and once with Yehudi Menuhin. I really liked him, he was a very nice person when we talked, we talked a lot about Django Reinhardt, but I was never convinced with his bow work.
Sorry to disagree, I hope I’m wrong. I still think her touch and especially her tone is closer to Stuff Smith, who I think way higher of than Grapelli
