  • Billy Gibbons from Audlem is interviewed live on GMTV by Eamonn Holmes and Fiona Phillips.
Billy takes them on a whistlestop tour of the 1950's in his house, showing them such delights as his Bakelite TV, Kelvinator fridge and many more 1950's delights.
The interview was completely unscripted and live. In fact, Billy didn't even know what questions were going to be fired at him, yet remained unfazed throughout and responded "off the cuff".
It's a testimony to his presenting skills that Billy was pretty much offered the job of "our new correspondent" live on air by Fiona, in front of approximately 18 million viewers..... an opportunity sadly not pursued by either parties. B.J.C.

Hello young man. Your Dad is a great drummer and it was a privilege to play in the band with him. Best wishes, Billy.

Well, if it isn't Billy Gibbons! I remember watching you on the Big Breakfast a few years back and crying with laughter
Why are you not on TV? It's a crime if you are still working as a road sweeper. Would be such a waste of raw talent. Given the shite that passes for talent these days on so called "reality" shows such as X-Factor, it's refreshing to see some actual genuine talent.
Answer me this, if you're such a natrual in front of the camera, why are you not on our TV's presenting? Madness

@BazzaLantrix Thanks for your reply. I'm not a road sweeper now because the council gave me the brush. (in the true sense of the word)! Oh well...Regarding me not being not on our TV's...perhaps better asking the powers that be? The only thing in life I ever wanted to do was to do that..I don't think I'd be to bad at it but......ahh well.....what do I know eh? Still, I've enjoyed the tiny bit of "fame" I've had but, more would be nice but perhaps that's meant for people other than me? BillyG.
