I'm confused, are the Villagers literally walking half way across the Map to mine the Granite if the Pit is placed in our Town? If so, that's a huge waste of time traveling.
No, I think they actually pull it out of the ground. I have a copper deposit much closer than the granite and they did not collect the copper... had to build an additional mine for the copper.
@@delindsay I double checked again just to make sure. My villagers never wander far from town ,but I followed the one miner to see how they extract and to my surprise, there are rocks between the normal rocks that are labelled granite😳 Who would have known... It looks like a normal rock though. They are scattered all around as it seems.
@@axefield Thank you for following up and I wouldn't have noticed that either!
I was very intrigued about your tip on the pit. I have a Pit in my Iron outpost, and it gathers Iron and Granite, as there are both resources nearby. Can the pit gather Copper and Tin if there aren't any Copper or Tin nodes nearby?
It seems that the only resource that functions without nodes is the granite... I was really hoping it could do the copper and tin also😬
@@axefieldyes, that would be ideal. I have exhausted the local tin deposits, and didn't want to have to setup another outpost. I built a T1 shack by my river reed outpost that has access to a single node. I'm sure it won't last long.
@@AcidBlueDoD man that sucks... if you haven't liberated Horndean far south yet, try and see if you can do that. They habe plenty of ores you can trade daily😄
