The hat is great!!
I love hats...thanks!
Killing playing
A million thanks!
Nice playing and reference to Emily.
I appreciate your comment!
Our brains must be using the same channel Kent! The students I have that are working on "As time goes by" are also working on Bewitched....LOL
How about that! Thanks for telling me!
This is so freakin’ awesome Kent! Love the blending of the voicing throughout the song and the breakdown of how you used them. But most importantly…the full dynamics of emotion…that’s what you want in your music…that’s what you want in your life. Just letting spirit flow bro 😎 Be well my friend! And deepest thanks always,
You said it just right, Joe...that's awesome...thanks...brother!
thanks Kent!
You are very welcome
Thank you so much my master!!!
💙
Freaking Fantastic Fascinating...
Thanks so much!
Piano wood looks shinier today :)
Just the lighting!
You used this intro for Somewhere Over The Rainbow!
I composed this intro for this song. I may have use a similar idea on Over the Rainbow, but it was improvised..
Thanks
My pleasure!
This sounds like an intro to a Disney movie lol
That's really not a bad thing
Thanks Kent. Lovely technique as a player and as a teacher, always good spirits and optimism, clear thinking, a lot of study and hard work paying off, and, the two most important things: musicality and love for the tune itself.
Thanks...that is a superior comment...so helpful to me. !!
This was one of my favorite of your videos. It matches what I like to do a lot, and I liked the explanations. Especially the conceptual comments of making the arrangement work as a whole.
Nice commen...t and perceptive. I'm glad I came through for you!
Beautiful...absolutely Beautiful 😍....thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks so much 😊
Thanks so much for this lesson, as usual, I totally enjoy your lessons. One comment though.. I am a female pianist and I also enjoy the company of gentleman at each side of my piano..
Haha 😆 I’m a guy and I was thinking the same thing about you lady listeners. Glad you mentioned that to him.
@@brucejeric6701 haha 😆
I was referring to Duke Ellington's quote...of course the same applies to lady pianists attracting male admirers.
😝
Love you Kent, you're a great teacher! Very inspiring
Very helpful &constructive on how to integrate two techniques..... some giant chunks of the jigsaw puzzle are going to come together in next 3 weeks🎶🤩
Great comment...thanks!
Great Kent!!!!

Dariusz.
Great arrangement Kent!!! Can’t wait to practice and add it. All concepts I’m aware of but not really polished. And here in one song I can practice all. Thank you so much!!!
I'm glad you liked it and find it helpful. Swing on, Bruce!
Hi kent! thanks for all your sharing. Any chance you are giving personal classes somewhere in the world? I´m planning a trip to USA and it would be amazing having some classes with you. Maybe you work at a music school during the year? Thanks again for so much.
I don't teach...only privately at my home. However I teach at Summerkeys in Maine every summer.
Where’s the tip jar? Thank you Kent!!!
You can always tip on my PayPal account, but not requested. My book sales help pay the rent. Thanks!

Thanks for the request!
When I start playing people seem to disappear ha ha
At least they're not talking and rattling drinks...ha!
Have watched many of your videos. Great stuff.
Lately I'm wondering about what modes/scales match diminished chords best. For example the Bbdim7 in "On a Clear Day". (B-7 phryg, Bbdim7 WT/ht dim (my guess), A-7 dorian etc.)
Just a possible video idea. .
I have a video explaining diminished chords and how to improvise over them. czcams.com/video/YPC-AmzsCag/video.html
That was like twenty years plus of.music experience in 16 minutes! This was one of those songs my Dad would sing and would wonder where he knew it from. Now hearing all the harmonies and chords is fascinating. Seemed.really complicated _ then as yiu broke it down i actually heard/ saw the diminished chords in there. That was a serious.blend of technique s .I ll end up checking this one out a few times.Kent your skill set is.deep my man! I m not sleeping.on the suit and hat either! 😎Would be great to hear you rock a few of those technique s on Tenderly.Outstanding Playing !
Thanks for all your nice words, I have a video on Tenderly here:
