    Love it. I wish we never sold a tractor ever, muir hills, countys, all of them worked tirelessly, fixed on the side of a field, those days are gone

      A bag of spanners, now it's a laptop before you begin. Nobody (or very few) envisaged how collectable tractors would become.

    I went to do a job in Duncan Cabs in the late 70's when it was Duncan Cabs. The building is still there today empty at the moment I think but has had a few oil companies using it through the years.Nice collection would you add a DOE to it ? M 😀

    Love this video, I’ll sub! People may wonder how tractors live so long, even with such rough lives. Tractors are made with such heavy cast, forged, and pressed parts, that corrosion can’t kill them, if just given minimal care, they will live on. These COUNTY tractors are great tractors and have been restored beautifully. If necessarily are available to live 100 more years to do duty. Love’em all, they can and will bring a country back from a devastating even if necessary

    Amazing collection of rare beasts. If some of these were classic cars, they would be in the Ferrari 250 GTO territory.

      @@Paulo660 All your missing is a JJ Thomas Ninety Five One Hundred or maybe a Doe Triple-D 150. But the Doe is a very awkward yoke to store or transport.

      @@dellhell8842 I agree re the JJ Thomas; a very cool tractor. The last two in the next video would be even more awkward than the Doe to transport.

      @@Paulo660 From what I've seen of your collection so far, to describe it as a genre it would be: Four-wheel drive Ford tractors and Ford Conversions from the 6Y Ford Force generation to the Series 10 Generation III. The JJ Thomas is two wheel drive only so it wouldn't fit that. Anyway, it's a unique and highly impressive collection you have.
      My first memory of a tractor was my late dad's Fordson E27N TVO. I grew up driving New Performance Super Majors and then Ford Force 5000s. After porous block problems on the 5000s, my dad moved onto Zetor and then Masseys. Never felt the same about them as the Fords. Then I moved away.
      You would come home from the Zetor a lot less tired than the 5000, and no doubt some of that was due to the much more comfortable cab, but it was also because you felt you got a lot less work done with it than you would with the 5000. The Zetor had lots of gears, all of them painfully slow.

    Fascinating collection, when it came to Paul's comments on paint I learned that years ago, the cheap paint needs great care to get it looking right but is inclined to crack when tightening bolts on this cheap paint and never looks as good as 2 pack high quality paint.
    It's easy to see Paul's experience, attention to detail when he talks about his collection.

    • @Paulo660
      @Paulo660  Před 2 lety

      Glad you enjoyed it Kevin. It was Pat's collection and a spur of the moment decision to record the fleet after we'd seen the progress on his 1884 replica. It was good to hear his experience with paint, admitting where he'd made a mistake - which was understandable due to the expense involved!
