It was the Richard Crofts was lost in that year (1953). Eight of the twelve crew were lost. My grandfather one of the fortunate survivors. He was luckily found unconscious on a sandbar out at sea after the rescuers had given up hope, but then decided to have one last look.
My great Granddad would have been working their at that time his name was Frank Squires i think he was a manager or worked in an office their doing something do you know anything about him ?
