      Imagine if in order for you to smell an orange you would need a hundred individual molecules for your nose to successfully detect it and you'd need to be a meter away from that orange in order to do so.
      By comparison, a Wolverine can detect that same orange needing only one single molecule, and can be a thousand meters away.
      That is how a Wolverine do.

      Exactly what I was thinking. Not to mention she set the meat hunk right on the snow next to the hole she was digging and just left that snow there with all the scent on it. I have no doubt that Wolverines have an incredible sense of smell, but this demonstration was very weak.

    • @alexisgrunden1556
      @alexisgrunden1556 Před 7 lety +6

      Paul Ramos
      And his attitude, and the through-obstacles-not-around-them manner... Wolverines are pretty much the only animals on the continent that will look at a grizzly bear standing over a carcass and think, "Yeah, you look like a puss; I could take you. You gonna eat that? I'll fight ya for it!" They don't go around mountains, they just go up and over~ XD When you think about Logan's character, his nature, and the nature and personality of a wolverine, they really are shockingly similar. Just look at how he treats the younger mutants; rough, yet affectionate. Wolverines are the same way: they play rough, but even the fathers are good with the kits.

    I live in Estonia. When I lived in the countryside, then went one day, at three o'clock in the night, along the forest to urinate under pine and pine Wolverine fell down from my shoulders and slightly dented! I said, "Hello," he went on slowly wriggle through meadows and forests the higher pressure in the darkness. House lamp post lighted and I looked and saw a Wolverine very well. Approximately 102 to 104 cm long, 40-45 cm wide, and moved wriggle and head low.Head was darker color, beige top body was brighter and darker sides ...Wolverine who fell from the tree next to me was like 00:35 - the video of the specimens. Spine top of a lighter color. It was not a badger!

    I will always wonder if I saw a wolverine in Leadville, Colorado a few years ago. It was either a small-looking bear or an extremely rare wolverine sighting. Unfortunately it was around midnight, so what I saw was very silhouette-like. The profile brought the wolverine to mind, but the probability factor sways me to believe it was a young black bear. Wish I knew for sure.

    Scent Molecules.... get your science right. When you smell something it's tiny particles of that thing in the air.

      +J Brook This channel has a lot of, ummm, "paraphrasing" of actual science.

      +J Brook actually i've seen this term used in articles: "Indeed, Gardiner explained, recent studies have shown that concentrations of scent molecules could easily mislead." source: esciencenews.com/articles/2010/06/10/sharks.can.really.sniff.out.their.prey.and.how.they.do.it
      seems quite rational term, not all molecules can be detected via smell and those are can be said to have a "scent" thus scent or scented molecules...

      It means the same thing. They even said in the video at 2:50 that it's what's in the air going past. Just calm down.

    I wish the someone would take the time to measure the bite force of a wolverine, I would guess their bite strength gotta be stronger than that of Tasmanian devils and stronger than that of lions...
