Now I've got to check
I stand corrected.
@@BeauoftheFifthColumn even when you're wrong, you're right.
Hahaha that's what it says on the commemorative postage stamp in my collection...
Britney Spears, of all people, knows what it's like to be turned into a commodity by Capitalism.
Exactly
LOL.
She makes them money I feared they would kill her for profit.
Your allies don't have to be perfect, they just have to be with you. We're all sharing the bus.

I was happy hearing B. Spears is calling for change because it is a good thing. She's got pull with my generation. And Fran Drescher is hella smart.
And 2020 is just weird.
That last part...so true
Spears/Drescher 2020!
PageMonster Drescher/Spears lol
Lmao
she need to change drug dealer first
I congratulate and appreciate Britney and Fran for standing up for the right thing. I denigrate Moscow Mitch for being a corporate tool and an asshole for whom money is the bottom line and people are speed bumps.
Respect for both Drescher and Spears.
When you have people willing to kill off their own customers to keep their business making them more money. Sending money to the people who have too much already won't simulate anything.
Money comes from the bottom up. Not the top down.
I said is on and other channel . and i was told to take an economic class . i have a degree in it. Economic is a game.
Not just killing off their customers, but killing off their employees too.
Extrordinary comment well said good sir
i wasn't imagining meeting britney on a barricade either, but if i do, hell yea she's welcome.
Are you familiar with the iconic painting from the French Revolution, Delacroix's "Liberty Leading The People", you know the one with the topless lady with the flag storming the barricades. Well, doesn't 'Liberty' look a heckuva lot like Britney Spears?

This is a unique moment and we have an opportunity to make deep changes in short order. Let’s not waste it. 🙌🙌🙌
True this is the time for change this is the time for a revolution this the time to act and take our country back for the working people.
Beau said this is the time!. I do believe it is time. We are being crushed from both sides!.
redistribute the wealth. Can anyone say revaluation. I'm sick of the fascist plutocracy in this country.
We should understand that the revolution never stopped in this country... we just need to give it a microphone.
@@illizcit1 well that's why we're oppressed. the government doesn't want to hear crocodiles tears. unless you're buying it's skin, organs, blood...
Given Trump's response to the coronavirus where he wants to ignore a pandemic and let people die off to boost stock figures by a few points, to say a general strike would be met with a harsh reaction would be an understatement. It would turn into a revolution with riots in the streets immensely quick.
@Cletus Beauregard oh really now?
And I would love to see you try and defend the fearless leader calling covid19 "the latest democratic hoax".
He said it multiple times at different"rallies" and to the press.
It's the same guy who is more worried about the Dow Jones then about taking drastic steps to help save lives and prevent spread.

Brittany is brave enough to speak truth & face criticism. Corporate mainstream media smears Bernie Sanders no matter what he says. So if Brittany & Fran can speak out more power to them.
Karl Marx already wrote it
Fran Drescher is a goddess and I’m glad she’s on my side. I’m gonna go rewatch the nanny now. Good bye.
I had a dream last night that, I think, Mr Sheffield?, was a cop in the pilot but of course changed in the series.
She's notorious for not tipping. Just like Oprah and Eddie Murphy. Only the most petty of human beings behave like that. It makes me question her sincerity. She almost makes me want to root for breast cancer.
Fran Drescher has seen some shit. Go look into whaw happened to her when she moved to LA decades ago. Just so you know, its pretty harsh.
I only laughed after you said, "don't laugh."

We gave corporations a trillion dollars a couple years ago and now here we are using a global health crisis to give them another trillion after the squandered the last batch on stock buybacks and mismanagement.
It went in there pockets.
"Stock buybacks" 😂... most of those are now a scam to get their stock price to go up, so the top dogs can sell at top dollar. Too many stock buybacks don't buy stock back.

Problem is the numbers are unimaginable. 130 billion seems like a lot of money. If you compare it to $2 trillion it's a drop in the bucket. People just can't visualize it.
Ramiro Rodriguez You can and I can. So I presume other people can too. I think it’s about exactly what Beau is talking about and knowing that most politicians are corrupt as hell and they have become indifferent and distant. That together with being out of a job and a stable income and the fear of a medical bill together with debts makes it incredibly hard to give a s.... about any of it.
@Janet Baker agreed. I googled the cost of a Gerry Ford class aircraft carrier and 90 JSFs (around 25 billion total). When I tell my people that this administration literally sank the equivalent of 80 modern aircraft carriers (and their planes) into the stock market, their jaws suddenly drop.
Beau of the Fifth Column @ 3:55 "If you want systemic change, you're not going to get it from the system. If you want proof of that, take a look at that wonderful stimulus package. Take a look at how much was designated to hospitals. $130 billion, during this mess, then take a look at how much was designated to corporations. The system told you how much it values you. They put a dollar figure on it. You're not important." @@themaddane1550 Britney Spears is worth about 60 million ... couldn't even give a dollar to every American who's either in poverty or struggling against it, even if she wanted to.
Well, Britney Spears and Fran Drescher are older and wiser than the versions of themselves that we know them for.
I met Britney in 2002, after a concert rehearsal, very smart young lady.
“A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them; the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” Proverbs 22:3
Funny that this Bible quote exposes the people that read it the most as reckless simpletons.
Donald Trump, come on down.
Alpha Centauri I disagree. The scariest part is the people in control believing in the Bible. Or worse yet not really believing but manipulating the people that do believe.
No they won't. Not when you have people that take ACTION to SERVE (you know like Jesus did and you strive to be like) instead of giving into their fear and justifying humans suffering with a Bible verse.
60% of American working people in the richest country in the world can't afford $400 bill or to be "prepared" let alone cover a missing paycheck.

@@tbbart6463 I want to say yes jesus would vote for universal health care and living wage and a whole lot of other democratic socialist stuff, but the truth is he wouldn't. Such a useless collection of fairytales that should have been long forgotten.
Spears has been controlled by her dad for the last 15 years or so. She is exploited by everyone around her and has often been institutionalized by those close to her. This is her reaching out. Don’t laugh.
I mean, i get the laugh, but dig deeper.
And I’m not a fan. Can’t stand her voice. Doesn’t mean I can’t see where this is coming from.
I personally think its awesome when famous people join the fight! The more the merrier! People that already have a platform, to use that platform for the good of the people and the good of the world speaks volumes on their character.

Omg, this is from 4 years ago but I've never seen it before and now I am watching it because I so respect Beau of the fifth column. It just reinforces why I chose to follow him a couple of years ago. He is so wise
Howdy Internet-Beau! Still amazed by the range of topics you are able to weave into your central theme in very meaningful ways. You save lives out here!
Britney and Fran have my support! I'll wave my cane at the barricades next to them!
The very fact people can laugh about this instead of immediatly breakibg out pitch forks and torches is a good sign. Taking the idea as a bit of a joke isnt ideal, but it IS better than not endorsing the idea at all. If this gets the message out, then it gets the message out
Yes, it probably would be a great idea not to break out the pitch forks and the torches. You see, the Business World always pauses and reflects in times of recession. What is really obvious now and has been noticeable since 2008 is that advances with automated technologies has put supply side productivity on a rising exponential curve, but that undercuts labor which collapses demand side consumerism. Prices fall, but Demand drops in front of the fall prices. smart phone might cost two cents, but consumers only have a penny. that is what Marx would call a 'contradiction'. The Capitalists will see it too, that in order to compete businesses must maximize efficiency but consumerism only flourishes in inefficient economies. SO, changes must be made. The Rich could go with the Japanese No Growth Model of 'flying high but straight and level'. And they are transitioning off labor while they are retiring an aging population into their pensions. In the West, where the starving Consumer Class is harboring thoughts of violent revoltution, the Rich could do a production run of Killer Robots to kill us all before we can kll them. Or, if everybody is smiling and we all stay cool, we can also go to a Reduced Hours Early Retirement Pension System like the Japanese. Nobody needs to get hurt.

Crisis=Opportunity Don't let the Predator Class continue in the drivers seat!
The ounce of prevention is worth the pound of cure. Comes to mind. These cuts to programs could have been a long run costs savings.
Roberto Acuna Exactly. Our leaders decided that pandemic preparedness and CDC research programs weren't as important as a wall or some new planes or hunting even legal immigrants because they got busted for a nickel bag when they were 18. The CDC budget is continually cut and public education is also cut repeatedly. For almost 50 years, the social side of our democracy has been under attack, and now we pay the price for these attitudes. Perhaps, now people will care more about voting for responsible leadership.
