  • Today I go over my experience owning and daily driving my Kerma tuned TDI Sportwagen. This car has been awesome but it is time to start giving it some tasteful mods and not have it look so stock. I have a few things i want to do from suspension, wheels, tires & some lighting mods. If you can find a good deal on one hop on it ASAP! Enjoy.

      I had the tune and dsg tune on my 2015 Jetta TDI.. It was definitely worth the money. It was fun. LOL. I was dumb and traded it in on a Tesla which I sold back last June. • @DArias
      @DArias  Před 2 lety +3

      Essentially yes the tune would void the warranty. Also I always say this it depends on the dealer too. Some service managers and advisors are super cool and work with you while others aren’t. Luckily in my experience I did have a friend who worked at Vw so I got 2 repair services done under warranty while tuned which was the intake manifold and a new egr valve. Intake manifold after a few months was being buggy again so I ended up doing the diesel geek bracket over 2 years ago and to this day still no cel has come back

    Over 2 years and 24,000 miles with my MK6 tdi, 33mpg in city and 38 highway. DPF failure a month after purchase (VW replaced), crash sensor failure warning light (reset with vag scanner), 4 alignments (incompetent shop), and failed rear struts. Internet seems to be full of worried owners when it comes to these diesels. I'm curious if the kerma tune would help extend the life of the emissions system. Coming from a CRV the interior feels cramped, and there is like zero right knee room oddly (5'11"). I also don't find the seats to be that comfortable. Mines worth almost $4k more than what I paid for it, the used car market is nuts!

    • @DArias
      @DArias  Před rokem +1

      Really? Seems a bit early. Unfortunately many vws use a plastic slave cylinder across all generations and it’s always been a weak part in the manual transmission cars. Overall though TDIs are known to do many hundreds of thousands of miles but I guess sometimes it’s hit or miss

      @@DArias I have the Slave cylinder on my desk. It does not inspire confidence.
