Minimum divided into "Part 1: Jaden" (Elemental, Masked, and Neo-Spacian related shenanigans as a quick update of how neos works in a HERO Deck if at all); "Part 2: Aster/Edo" (Vision and Destiny), and Part 3: Supreme King (Evil and the final thoughts)
I don't remember too much of MPBs, but I do recall barely surviving a duel with a Pendulum spam deck that spat out and revived the one Xyz monster that targets and destroys your monsters a dozen times a turn. It was midgame and I was playing Bujins, so I had my graveyard decently stacked with Susanowo and discard tactics, with all three Turtles in the grave. Kagutsuchi was solo on the field, and I had an Xyz Reflect and Xyz Block facedown. My opponent played out their hand, Xyz summoned, returned and revived the stupid thing a ton of times and tried again and again to kill off my Kagutsuchi, but I just kept negating the destruction and destroying his monster back. By the time they were out of cards in hand, I was down to my last Turtle and had one Xyz material on Kagutsuchi left, but damn if he didn't live that turn. Didn't matter though, since my opponent conceded immediately after failing to do anything, which was kind of disappointing. He just packed up and left without a word :( I did end up sitting there for the rest of the round time until my next duel, just kind of covering my mouth and staring at the table. Wasn't sure if I should cry, laugh, or feel proud I'd outlasted a loop of destroy effects, hahaha.

Dinosaurs have been meta relevant for 4+ years now. They aren’t slowing down much either. Sure we cannot use Dragonic Diagram and True Kings to fill the field on the first main phase but still good.

HALQ not being banned is just konami trying to milk the cocks of their players one last time before forcing them to rebuild their decks when fribrax hits the pyre in 2023 when the new blackwing support releases or some dumb shit like that

this deck was made with the idea that youre always gonna be able to have stuff on the field while also forgetting to make any cards that help you have multiple monsters easily
About Dracossack, the strategy I sometimes used to deal with it in 2014 was, as a Cyber Dragon player, to combine Power Bond and Limiter Removal to pierce OTK the opponent with Cyber End Dragon. Worked pretty well.

Halifax for Linkross ran off with their schtick in more ways than one, really want to see Halifax get the restriction from being used as Link Material that it should have always had so that its other effect will ever actually see play.
One thing I realized playing these casually back in the day was that they couldn’t synchro to save their lives, but they were an excellent XYZ deck. 3-4, 6-7,9-10 all can be easily summoned with some foresight. Of course, this was super casual.

I always saw galaxy tomahawk as another unofficial MFB. he looks the part and has a token related effect, while being able to be summoned in the deck easily.
Mecha phantom beast s are a wonderful archetype, the problem is that they are a magic the gathering archetype that somehow got printed as Yu-Gi-Oh cards
So, a Game Theory episode about human flight comes out at the same time as this video, which is based around Rata - who may or may not be a human - obtaining flight. This is the fourth Game Theory channel.
Honestly, I love the flavor of this archetype. Advanced fighting machines who deploy holographic duplicates to confuse the enemy before taking them out? That shit is my JAM! Just a shame about the... everything...
The worst part is the tokens are meant to be holograms that your opponents would attack instead of you, at least I am assuming that is what the card art is showing The problem is you would have to be blind to see the multicolored translucenct ship being suddenly created from another that has a similarly colored flashlight shining on it and say "oh my God which is the original!"

Dracossack definitely brings back memories of every duel devolving into who can summon it first and if the opponent could summon Big Eye to counter it.
I legit loved this archetype so much I made custom effects for it that I thought could help it but Konami doesn't accept card ideas so I'll put them here. These were made around the pendulum era MPB Recruiter; Pendulum effect: OPT special summon a token. OPT sack 1 token to search for a MPB card. Monster effect: OPT you can sack 1 token to Special a MPB from the Deck but destroyed during the EP. MPB Interceptor; Pendulum effect: OPT If a Spell/Trap/Monster effect would activate sack a token to negate and destroy. Monster effect: OPT If a effect that targets a card(s) would activate Special a token and change the target to the token MPB Carrier; Pendulum effect: OPT declare a number 1-8 and change the levels of all MPB tokens currently on the field to the level of the declared number. Monster effect: If this card is Special summoned declare a number 1-12 and change this cards level to that level MPB Radio Call; Spell: Add 1 MPB monster from your Deck to the hand, and if this resolves Special a token MPB Passer; tuner: You can tribute or discard any number of MPB to increase or decrease this cards level. A synchro summoned by this card gains the MPB protection effect. The deck needs more ways to get tokens, more searching for its main playmakers, and interesting playstyles like the passer tuner or carrier changing levels, and more speed in general with how it plays the field which is why I chose pendulum. Other ideas maybe a link 1 that summons a token making it a free link two or three. Or if you want a wall a link 2 that extends the protection effect to the cards it points to. It has potential just to bad Konami hires chimpanzees to work for them
Konami: We should give Mecha Phantom Beast a place, buff it somehow Months later: new field spell, summon a token per turn and search deck for any mecha card, when destroyed blow your opponent field by tributing all mecha tokens
How is Shape not satisfied with the amount of duel energy the videos are generating? Rata's recent videos have probably saved more lives of yugioh fans than the number of times Pegasus says "Yugi boy" or "Kaiba boy" in any given episode of the original series. There's one part of olion that makes it even better for this archetype that I NEVER see mentioned when the card is brought up. The extra normal summon effect is not a hard OPT, meaning in theory if you could dump multiple of these bad boys in the GY, you could actually swarm the field with lots of bodies (at least this decks mediocre definition of swarming). Combine that with tetherwolf summoning a token on normal and olion summoning a token when it's dumped and the deck could at least put up okayish fields. This was years ago when I fell in love with this deck a couple years after release despite it being terrible, I looked for any copium I could huff to make it remotely playable. I settled on a worse symphonic/speedroid mishmash. Back when setting a shaddoll monster turn one was considered broken, making a couple of big synchros or high rank xyzs wasn't *good* but it wasn't stomped into the ground bad. Every time I'd see the deck being played it was some sort of super slow, trap heavy control strategy. However, by using speedroids and olion you could help speed up the deck at least into a moderate toolbox of big xyzs and synchros that could help win games.
All tuners are jesus. Because they died for our sins, the sins of relying on halq, only to be resurrected once again. Idk where i was going with this joke, i honestly think i lost whatever i was going for.

this deck was made with the idea that youre always gonna be able to have stuff on the field while also forgetting to make any cards that help you have multiple monsters easily
This archetype reads like the designers forgot Yugioh had 5 monster zones

About Dracossack, the strategy I sometimes used to deal with it in 2014 was, as a Cyber Dragon player, to combine Power Bond and Limiter Removal to pierce OTK the opponent with Cyber End Dragon. Worked pretty well.

One thing I realized playing these casually back in the day was that they couldn’t synchro to save their lives, but they were an excellent XYZ deck. 3-4, 6-7,9-10 all can be easily summoned with some foresight. Of course, this was super casual.

I always saw galaxy tomahawk as another unofficial MFB. he looks the part and has a token related effect, while being able to be summoned in the deck easily.
Mecha phantom beast s are a wonderful archetype, the problem is that they are a magic the gathering archetype that somehow got printed as Yu-Gi-Oh cards

The worst part is the tokens are meant to be holograms that your opponents would attack instead of you, at least I am assuming that is what the card art is showing
The problem is you would have to be blind to see the multicolored translucenct ship being suddenly created from another that has a similarly colored flashlight shining on it and say "oh my God which is the original!"

Dracossack definitely brings back memories of every duel devolving into who can summon it first and if the opponent could summon Big Eye to counter it.
I legit loved this archetype so much I made custom effects for it that I thought could help it but Konami doesn't accept card ideas so I'll put them here. These were made around the pendulum era
MPB Recruiter; Pendulum effect: OPT special summon a token. OPT sack 1 token to search for a MPB card. Monster effect: OPT you can sack 1 token to Special a MPB from the Deck but destroyed during the EP.
MPB Interceptor; Pendulum effect: OPT If a Spell/Trap/Monster effect would activate sack a token to negate and destroy. Monster effect: OPT If a effect that targets a card(s) would activate Special a token and change the target to the token
MPB Carrier; Pendulum effect: OPT declare a number 1-8 and change the levels of all MPB tokens currently on the field to the level of the declared number. Monster effect: If this card is Special summoned declare a number 1-12 and change this cards level to that level
MPB Radio Call; Spell: Add 1 MPB monster from your Deck to the hand, and if this resolves Special a token
MPB Passer; tuner: You can tribute or discard any number of MPB to increase or decrease this cards level. A synchro summoned by this card gains the MPB protection effect.
The deck needs more ways to get tokens, more searching for its main playmakers, and interesting playstyles like the passer tuner or carrier changing levels, and more speed in general with how it plays the field which is why I chose pendulum. Other ideas maybe a link 1 that summons a token making it a free link two or three. Or if you want a wall a link 2 that extends the protection effect to the cards it points to. It has potential just to bad Konami hires chimpanzees to work for them

How is Shape not satisfied with the amount of duel energy the videos are generating? Rata's recent videos have probably saved more lives of yugioh fans than the number of times Pegasus says "Yugi boy" or "Kaiba boy" in any given episode of the original series. There's one part of olion that makes it even better for this archetype that I NEVER see mentioned when the card is brought up. The extra normal summon effect is not a hard OPT, meaning in theory if you could dump multiple of these bad boys in the GY, you could actually swarm the field with lots of bodies (at least this decks mediocre definition of swarming). Combine that with tetherwolf summoning a token on normal and olion summoning a token when it's dumped and the deck could at least put up okayish fields. This was years ago when I fell in love with this deck a couple years after release despite it being terrible, I looked for any copium I could huff to make it remotely playable. I settled on a worse symphonic/speedroid mishmash. Back when setting a shaddoll monster turn one was considered broken, making a couple of big synchros or high rank xyzs wasn't *good* but it wasn't stomped into the ground bad. Every time I'd see the deck being played it was some sort of super slow, trap heavy control strategy. However, by using speedroids and olion you could help speed up the deck at least into a moderate toolbox of big xyzs and synchros that could help win games.
