10 Things I Wish I Knew In Naraka Bladepoint

- In this video I breakdown some of the things that I think are most important for players when they are first starting out in Naraka Bladepoint.
Now I know this is definitely a long video, I didn't realise how much there really was to say when I first set out to record this haha But still I do think, that if you are a new player, this is a must watch.

You will have 6 of each type of glyph and each one costs 1500 tae to rank to level 5. That is 9000 tae per glyph type. There are a total of 24 glyph slots (6 slots of each of the 4 colors) and so filling them all (once you've unlocked them all) with level 5 glyphs will cost a minimum of 36000 tae. There may be additional costs if the glyphs you want to use aren't among the starter glyphs then it will cost an additional 2000 tae to unlock a glyph type that is not initially available. The total cost to unlock and level all glyphs to level 5 is 204,000 tae. 5 types of glyphs of each of 4 colors, 3 types of each color are initially locked. 24,000 to unlock all locked glyphs, 45,000 to level up each of the glyph types of each of the 4 colors. (45,000 x 4 = 180,000) + 24,000 = 204,000 tae.
@Dunking Donuts - I just finished your Video & Dude it was a Good one I had already picked up on about 80% of the stuff you went over. But the Adjustment to the Settings and Keybinds...NICE!!! and the extra time about the Parrying. Also Subbed & Followed on here and on Twitch as well.

Also to add to the conversation. I play a lot of fighting games, and that community generally agrees to have anti aliasing off. It really helps with performance issues. Not sure hit affects this game, just thought I'd add

I've been playing hard since the f2p release (already lvl66 lol) so I figured out most of the things in your video by myself or thanks to streamers or other youtube videos.
But omg thank you for the parry/quick parry tip! Couldnt understand why I wasnt able to do the run parry/blue parry since I only use the quick parry...
Hope they'll fix this so I can deactivate the normal parry (didnt knew this option existed tho), still make me do unintentional parries sometimes, kinda annoying

I think something you're missing is the importance of half-jumping during combos sometimes to change move set and guarantee hits, and also how to actually half jump. When you were doing the slidehopping you probably should've explained how to actually do it faster. You need to half jump out of the slide (tap your spacebar quickly) and slide as soon as you hit the ground then jump cancel your slide before it slows down and do it again. If you full jump you end up just going the same speed as running, because it takes too long to get back into the quicker slide animation.
What do you mean half jumping during combos to change moveset? XD Also the basic principle of slide jumping is there, someone who starts to use it will inherently start doing it faster over time, telling someone how to do it as fast as they can is somewhat redundant, but i get why you mentioned that. Still confused about the first part though haha

Very weird compliment but I want to say you give me some Johnny Depp vibes: your facial movements are very nonchalant, your speech is slow not in a bad way but slow enough to make sure your words get across to the audience, and the eye contact you make is just reminiscent of the actor. Idk maybe I'm just crazy I like your video though very informative

Some parts were prolonged for more detail but didn't need to be. Example the settings tips only needed to say run everything on low for performance and leave target select on. Like it only has to be here's what you recommend and one reason why you recommend it and then move to next tip. This game already has a lot for a new player and cutting a 40 min would go a long way I think. I'm still new to naraka and your video popped up in my recommended when I looked for tips but I hesitated to watch it because of the length. The only reason I watched this is because I watched your stream for drops.

Btw you can Sheath your weapon on controller but not as quick you probably found out by now but you hold weapon swap then press Triangle or whatever the Xbox versions of those are

I strongly disagree with enabling auto aim on attacks.
It prevents you from using focus strikes on staff/heng/etc to disengage the enemy.
This is a common misconception, you can in fact use those things for movement (not have it auto aim to an enemy close by) if you simply press and hold "W" when doing the attack, and turning your camera in the direction you want to go.
Legitimately every single player, mid level, high, pro, you name it, uses melee aim assist. It's nothing to do with, "oh you use aim assist, you're a noob" or something; It's a fundamental aspect of the game that needs to be used, unless you are looking to severely handicap yourself.
Hunter's arena was just like this game. Luckily, I played that first because these games take some time to get the hang of.

how do you reach eminent being to unlock ultimates ?
On the hero tab, in the upper right corner of where the skills/ultimates of the hero are shown, there’s a diamond shaped icon with a person on it. That’s the button to take you to the cultivation screen for that hero. There you’ll see three goals you need to complete to reach the next cultivation stage. Once you complete them, go back to that screen to turn them in and unlock the next stage. Eminent being is an earlier stage and you should be able to get there pretty quickly! Hope that helps :)
i hate when i'm trying to combo (ok that's a lie, i'm usually just trying to spam lol) but the game registers it as i'm clicking both attack buttons and turns it into a parry instead :(
this kinda thing just takes a lil time, its the same in naraka as it is in fighting games, you eventually will learn to be more precise and mash less haha something everyone struggles with to begin with
Glyphs still a thing? I'm suprised a game like League of Legends flat out remove glyphs because they're bad... and games like this don't take the hint lol interesting I liked them though cool to see them here.
Me looking at Grapple distance :3, also aim assist off is better for higher elo

I got one shotted last night even when I am full armor by one hit from a greatsword and I just realized I forgot to upgrade glyphs
Upgrading glyphs won't make it so u don't get one spotted by a gs but okkkk?
@@Mythicalgoon I got one shotted because I am using Akos Hu with dagger and have no stamina left. I could have won if I got anothet soul break.

Great video. Bummer how much the currency changed though. Doesn't really apply at all anymore. It's super conveluted now just like genshin. It's a very tried and true tactic to confuse the consumer of the real world dollar value of things so they spend without thinking about it as much.
I mean the only thing that really changed was the addition of hero coins, which tbh i think was a good idea
