I appreciate your version of this song. As much as I have heard this on the radio and it taking me back to my childhood(I'm an 80s baby), this is actually the first time I have ever truly listened to the lyrics. One other time I recall feeling like this is when I heard Eva Cassidy(rest in peace angel) do Cindy Lauper's song Time After Time. When I heard Eva sing it was when I finally actually heard the lyrics and it blew me away. Thank you for loving music and gracin our airwaves with your talent. I will never forget the first time I heard this song. I was in a record shop in the eighties, in Austin, TX and this came on. It stopped me dead in my tracks. I immediately bought their CD or LP, I can not remember which, maybe it was a cassette.

I was in my early 20’s when this song came out. I’ve always loved it, and it’s a nice memory of being out on my own for the first time in my life. This version is beautiful. ❤
