With all do respect, I’m going to wear it how I want
I’m happy to watch your videos! I’m an American of Scottish heritage, have spent considerable time in Scotland both with relative’s and studying with various Pipe and Drum tutors. I’ve been a side (snare) drummer in numerous pipe band’s over the last 32 year’s. During that time, I’ve witnessed some down right awful etiquette. In the Law Enforcement/Military Pipe and Drum Corps, we wear a modern Drummer’s plaid with Doublet Tunic’s. This is the only time that we fasten a plaid to our uniform’s. This is done for safety while on parade, formal appearance’s and funerals. Our badge’s and brooches are simply counterweights, but we use large safety pins in 2 concealed spots on back of tunic AND this style of plaid has a belt and D rings to help secure around the waist.
Now I want to see the plaid with a shirt…with epaulets! Or even a grubby green military sweater with epaulets!
I love watching Eric and Rocky, but I totally disagree with this video. I have worn a fly plaid with a Jacobite shirt, several times and love the look. Kind of a great kilt look, and very Scottish.
I couldn't disagree more! Although what is being shown is traditional,... the ghillie shirt (Jacobite) is a non-traditional semi-recent addition to kilt outfits. Anyone who wears this type of shirt is actually making a statement, they want to look more old-worldly. Wearing a traditional fly plaid with a Ghillie shirt accomplishes and completes that look and feel. Making the fly plaid have the viisual effect of the upper part of a great kilt. So, Eric, that is only your opinion that it looks dumb, because I've always been complemented on my good taste in putting together any kind of outfit, and I think it looks fantastic!

That's a great tartan on the mannequin.
Always preferred the full length pipers plaid that wraps round you over the cut off fly plaid, looks way better.
But do you have to be a piper to wear it? Or can anyone "peacock" around in one?
Could you do a video on the pipers plaid and how to wear it properly?
Anyone can wear it, but like anything it’s important to wear it well, and it will be a peacock
@@bertiesaurus I thought so, like most civilian highland dress we take inspiration from the military, so if wearing a plaid I'd prefer the full length one like the pipers as it looks brilliant.
The fly plaid is also traditional at formal occasions such as weddings.
Also, for those of us who served and choose to wear our medals, they should never be mixed. If you're going to wear your medals, don't wear a fly plaid. If you're going to wear the fly plaid, don't wear your medals. It's just not a good look to combine the two as they are each competing for attention.
Fix that belt, boy
THIS! Fly Plaid are only for the groom at a wedding. That's it. They look cool but they are way over the top.
HA! .......SLOW CLAPS
Umm
I don’t know how to feel about this
You could soda the shirt or you put it up late on the shirt no big deal. You guys got the same designs over and over again can't you hire a designer for all this?
