Love the channel. We miss the weekly videos. lol My friend just bought a Mooney. He was going with the mooney or a RV. I told him to check out your channel. He has been watching for a few months and he finally pulled the trigger on a mooney. He thanks you and loves his plane.

I think a j model Mooney with a door on both sides like the newest models might be a nice option for new production. Maybe try to hit the 400k price point.

Love it. Mooney needs to do something. They are such great airplanes. Keep doing what your doing. People always have something to say.

I love this plane! What a change since I first started flying 25 year ago. Much safer flying with the changes to GA.

I’m sure I’ll see you. I’m right across from the flight school in T-4.

It's pretty easy to see that the "golden age of Mooney" (i.e. when they were making a lot of airplanes) was in the mid '60s. They were making several hundred airplanes a year, and they cost what? $12,500 or something? Even adjusted for inflation, that's a lot cheaper than anything they've done recently. I'm sure you can't make any money building 32 $800,000+ planes a year. I love Mooney. Really, I don't see why you couldn't do the same thing with the Tiger - but for some reason, no one can make it happen.

Wondering if you have a list of equipment in your panel. I have a 1974 m20c and am thinking about doing a upgrade and yours looks really nice and user friendly. Also if you have a layout with measurements for cutting out the panel would be helpful

If “fingers” is busy, you can try 122.75 for air-to-air.
Are any of the D10A’s normal functions available when it’s being your backup instrument? I was thinking the timer function might be useful or something.

Great. Ours will be high up and on the right side so both seats can see it clearly. It’ll be good for it to have uses when it’s not ‘actively’ being needed.

A 300k plane is impossible to build certified. A cessna 172 is close to 600k now. Unfortunately the liability is over 100k per plane...a full certified glass panel is almost 100k....thats 200k before everything else. Look at the hours it takes to build a plane You can buy a vans RV kit, and it's going to cost you almost 300k plus to build. That's not with expensive certified gear...or the 100k liability. So let's say the materials are 200k, liability of 100k, and the labour almost 100k...then they have to make money and invest in R&D. Maybe they could do the old design with simple panel but would still be 450-550k with a tiny margin. That's life Unfortunately.

Mooney’s can start looking at the Comanche 260c to get their Acclaim Ultra some respectability. First of all that stupid fking baggage door is the worst decision in aviation history. Their best Mooney can’t come close to the load carrying capabilities of a Comanche or landing finesse. Even Piper’s 1960’s airplane has better flaps than a brand new Mooney Ultra. Yea but it goes fast, ugh people are so stupid. Flying is not about going fast it’s about getting the airplane on the ground and impressing your passengers, Mooney fails in all regards in landing slow and providing an impressive cushioned touchdown.
