I am a life-long hardcore knitter (63 years old) and have just accidentally 'discovered' Tunisian crochet while searching for knitting patterns. Naturally, wanting to know more, I searched CZcams and found your amazing channel. You immediately became my go-to person for instruction in this delightful craft. I am currently binge-watching all the videos on your excellent site and have to say, Great job in explaining everything so clearly and thoroughly. Many, many thanks!

After watching several of your Tunisian crochet videos. I took a free image off the internet of a Ninja Turtle! I opened Excel and made the columns and rows look like graph paper. Then I converted the image into a colored pattern. I am making a blanket for my granddaughter for Christmas. Can I just say I have been knitting for 50 of my 66 years! I am lefthanded and knit and crochet righthanded . It was just easier.
I L.O.V.E. the tunisian crochet for blankets!! It is wonderful. I would love to send you a picture, but I don't know how!

I love, love, love that he is crocheting. My late husband loved that I knit and crochet and bragged on me, but wouldnt try to do it. My new husband is willing to try anything. He is a great carpenter and remodels houses, but anything else I want him to try with me, he jumps right in. It makes this hobby more fun for me. Kudos to Jacob. I'm using you as an example of what my husband can do if he tries.

OMG...beautiful blanket! And not just that, that was probably the BEST explanation of color changes and visual video I have seen to date on Tunisian crochet. I have looked for an explanation of color changes and weaving in the ends on different sites with no visual explanation. I taught myself to crochet and now I really want to learn to do Tunisian crochet. Oh yeah...subscribed! I keep the yarn from tangling by placing each ball in a small ziplock style bag and then lining them up in a box. When you do the forward pass they will untangle and when you do the reverse pass they cross over. Also, by putting them in the ziplock baggies I am easily able to move my project around without the balls unwinding all over the place. I purchased the baggies at a local Dollar Tree. I learned that trick while working on much larger lap afghan projects.

This is the old Afghan stitch that was out years ago and I made a poinsettia christ.as blanket out of it and oh man it took me forever cause there were granny square squares in the adjacent columns. Then cross stitching on the afghan stitching. It is a very nice stitch to use and work with. If you want the pattern to it just throw me a pm and I'll find it and send it to you. Thank you so much for the work you do on this channel.

I started out despising tunisian crochet, I only had a 7mm afghan hook with a super rounded head and I felt like I was constantly fighting against curl and couldn’t figure out how to insert properly into the last stitch. For anyone who feels like me, KEEP GOING! Experiment with different hooks and yarns! Try bigger projects!
Now that i’ve been working with tunisian crochet for a while and I have a few decent corded hooks, it’s just so much fun and so adore the flowy light fabric you can make with certain stitches. Family members have loved the face washers and coasters I work up for them in free time.
    Perseverance is key sometimes 💛

I've only been crocheting for about a year. I LOVE everything Tunisian. I just got my Tunisian hooks yesterday, so I've been doing a lot of searching for videos. I've always loved the gingham stitch, but it's very intimidating, and I've never even attempted it. Within my searching, the majority of the Tunisian videos are from you. You are an amazing teacher. You're very easy to understand, you show your work at just the right pace, and you're the sweetest person ever! I'm definitely going to try this within the next couple of days. I can't wait! Thank you for your time and for showing so many of us how to crochet. đŸ„°đŸ„°

I'm getting back into crochet after LOTS of years and everytime I look up "Tunisian crochet," well, here you are! I just had a new niece born and wanted to make her a cute blanket in alignment with my current skill level. Well, I learned color-changing with Tunisian crochet from you and when I found this blanket, KNEW I had to make it...and here you are again! Thank you for the videos. You make it look simple and indeed, your instruction has made learning new Tunisian crochet, simple. Keep up the good work! I'll be returning to you whenever I need a new pattern or to learn a new skill. You're incredible.
