- I had the opportunity to call the maghrib adhan ( azan) at Anfield , Liverpool football club on the 7th April 2024 for Iftar.

Non muslims here REALLY need to chill. This is the first time it ever happens!!! Plus this isn’t a prayer this is the call to prayer and it’s because its in ramadan and there were many muslim fans who were fasting during ramadan. So the call for prayer was performed as a respectful gesture to muslims (mo salah’s religion) and as an alarm for them to break their fast and eat/drink. This took less than 5 minutes. So embrace other cultures and religions which make up a HUGE part of the UK’s population whom many respect locals and respect the UK.
In muslim countries we respect Christians and non muslims. During Christmas the entire country is flooded with Christmas decorations and Christmas songs/food even though they’re a minority.
So each country needs to celebrate everyone and respect everyone.
They didn’t distract the game nor anyone. RELAX!!!!!!!
Try being a Christian in Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, syria, libya etc. etc. perhaps tell your brothers to relax. Better still head back to those countries where you are so welcome and leave anfield to host football
